Not a single raider from the Western Cape or KZN entered at first stage for this R4-million rand race.

In my honest opinion, absolutely pathetic

wow - I wonder if M Mambo is a genuine entry(greek Fire also )? I suppose keeping options open if the Tc does not work out
Surely there are Cape and Natal horses that are not suited to Greyville that would rather try this race than the July - Those that would go for the Champions Cup should be tempted to have a tilt for 4 times the stakes and 200m extra? At least Deo Juvente has been sent back to defend...

Considering the conditions of the race i cannot think of one older horse that is trained in natal with a rating around 105 to 110 over the 2000m distance can you?

Perhaps I should have said Kzn - based(cape trained horses that are raiding ) - I suppose the days are long gone when trainers like Payne and Brown Snr (even Mark Watters and Mike Stewart ) raided successfully - Surely Snaith has one or 2 he could send down and perhaps even a horse like Horizon might enjoy it?

Horizon has undergone surgery and is been put away.

I reckon this field is too strong for out of province trainers to earn a cheque..so stay away will be a better option!!!!!!!
