We try to get it right as much we can, just glad that one of study based fancies came through....win is a win, even though I got small wins but large places on the horse.

My PA play for day:
Race 2: Canyoukeepitsecret should be good enough to run at least 3rd on debut. All of the Secret of Victoria babies are special. Weak field so should run a place.
Race 3: Miss Smarty Pants is 2 short in the betting, but the best form and should go close.
Race 4: Chatuchuk and Sark should fight it out. I blankered Chatuchuk.
Race 5: Hemmingway, What a Summer and Bobby Dazzled all to go close. Can't split them. All three of them in my PA.
Race 6: Hithimagainchuck, Hooves of Thunder and Jonny Black my 3 for the PA.
Race 7: Spending Spree, Public Prosecutor, and Over Again my 3 for the PA.
Race 8: Estemaal, Rubyana, Bon Bon and Foxy Princess are 4 for the PA.
My play is R108 for a full unit.

Not sure when Bass website updated but
Nous Voila
Event: Race 2, Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies)
Distance: 1000m
Pre-race comments: She is a very smart filly, not fully wound up but on natural ability should be right there.
One for the note book

The Rest of the Comments
Sark
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate
Distance: 1600m
Pre-race comments: We have fitted the blinkers on him and should have an each way chance although he is possibly looking for further.
Wheels Are Up
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate
Distance: 1600m
Pre-race comments: Doing quite nicely at home and hopeful of an improved run.
Silver Master
Event: Race 5, MR 80 Handicap
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: Always consistent and should be in the shakeup again. Competitive race.
What A Summer
Event: Race 5, MR 80 Handicap
Distance: 1400m
Pre-race comments: First run out the maidens so hard to tell, but from a 1 draw he should have a chance again as he looks well weighted.
Johnny Black
Event: Race 6, MR 80 Handicap
Distance: 1200m
Pre-race comments: He only got a run late last time and will have a good chance here.
ooves Of Thunder
Event: Race 6, MR 80 Handicap
Distance: 1200m
Pre-race comments: 3rd last time out although this looks a lot more competitive this time. Money chance again.
Public Prosecutor
Event: Race 7, FM 80 Handicap (F & M)
Distance: 1000m
Pre-race comments: It’s been a while since she has raced but put up a really good gallop at Durbanville last week and on that must have a good chance.
Queen Moira
Event: Race 8, FM 67 Handicap (F & M)
Distance: 1600m
Pre-race comments: Queen Moira: She always shows good work at home, and she will have an each way chance in an open race.
Sark
Event: Race 4, Maiden Plate
Distance: 1600m
Pre-race comments: We have fitted the blinkers on him and should have an each way chance although he is possibly looking for further.

Race 1-Quick Star was fancied and backed on debut(Met day)Marshall and Snaith has entered nicely bred colts to take him on.
Race 2-Princess Elsa found betting support from 44/1 into 11/1 on the same day. Fourie replaces Andrews..She was beaten *.8 lenghts by Traces who many believe is a Gem.
Marshall has a Captain Al out of Secret Of Victoria filly entered to spice things up.
Race 3-The big yards seldom buys into breedings they dont fancy..Glen bought a Judpot on Sunday and this could well be my lead.No superstars here.
Thought the same - Backed the first two on the head - The third took 9/10 the place - Stupid

Taking a chance with the double :-
R4) Chatuchak X (R5) What A Summer
Chatuchak was touched off late last time over 1400m, comfortably ahead of the 3rd placed finisher. Third run after the rest and should appreciate the extra furlong. Sark is the obvious danger, going against him, 2nd run after the rest syndrome (for me anyway).
What A Summer, won as he liked, albeit a Maiden race, just think off this weight he can give this field a go.
This is worth a few

1 Horse Racing South Africa Kenilworth Race 4 2018-02-27 15:05 1. Chatuchak M/Win 2.50 Complete
2 Horse Racing South Africa Kenilworth Race 5 2018-02-27 15:35 8. What A Summer M/Win 5.56 Pending

This is worth a few, was encouraged by Candice's earlier comment after the second race winner :-

Wow - really stiff
