Typical out of season midweek card, difficult across all the races.

Taking a chance with the double :-

R4) Chatuchak X (R5) What A Summer

Chatuchak was touched off late last time over 1400m, comfortably ahead of the 3rd placed finisher. Third run after the rest and should appreciate the extra furlong. Sark is the obvious danger, going against him, 2nd run after the rest syndrome (for me anyway).

What A Summer, won as he liked, albeit a Maiden race, just think off this weight he can give this field a go.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Very Tough card - Opening Betting looks very cramped , some horses should be bigger prices .

Race 1 :- FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT- R 3.25 Million Rand Buy - Quatar Racing
DEEPSTON Half Brother to Tap O' North out of VAR
QUICK STAR - Stable gave it a chance in the Kuda Sprint on Met Day - Rate him
SACRED ARROW - What A Winter Colt - Dam won 7 1000 - 1200
SILVER HERITAGE - Half brother to Van Zyl Trained Arianos Bagofgold won two so far.

and thats only the firt leg of the Bi Pot ;)

Indoors tomorrow as the so called beast from the east hits us hard with plenty of snow predicted so will be relying on the usual Cape Town tipsters to warm me up with some nice winning fancies. Thank you

Race 4 Chatuchak looks held by Sark who should be challenged by Hadarat and American Landing
African Messiah for optimistic perms

Race 1, my hopes of playing all PA's and P6's sit on Sailor Sam, at 14/1 it is around 19/10 for a place in a 4 place race. Corne Offer knows the horse well, owk draw of 8 and course and distance suited last time out was his beat run. He almost won the last race, but that Var colt just beat him. He was 2 lengths in front of the favourite, And has run with the Lucky Dancer and Frozen Tune formline in the past with places being reversed. The horse can't be overtaken by Carnage by 4 lengths in just Carnages 2nd run as Sailor Sam beat by 4 last time, And outside the top 3 it is between Carnage is the only danger for a 4th spot.

My bet is a straight place at 19/10........

Frank Lyoyd Wright is probably decent, could be green by betting moves as it is drifting. Deepston could well win it being a full brother to Tap o Noth, and Quick Star must go close as it was backed to favourite in a feature against winners and ran fourth. With improvement could be in the top 2.....interesting enough the horse that finished a neck behind Quick Star in the feature, Sailor Sam beat by 2 lengths last time. Quick Star has tons I
Of improvement to come, but be is 18/10 for a win and Sailor Sam is 19/10 for a place. I will go with the 4 option place bet.

The Kotzen yard sends out 3 nice sorts to contest the first 3 races.
Race 1-Quick Star was fancied and backed on debut(Met day)Marshall and Snaith has entered nicely bred colts to take him on.
Race 2-Princess Elsa found betting support from 44/1 into 11/1 on the same day. Fourie replaces Andrews..She was beaten *.8 lenghts by Traces who many believe is a Gem.
Marshall has a Captain Al out of Secret Of Victoria filly entered to spice things up.
Race 3-The big yards seldom buys into breedings they dont fancy..Glen bought a Judpot on Sunday and this could well be my lead.No superstars here.

Hi Guys,

Kenilworth

3: 1-4-7-8
4: 4-1-8-2
5: 3-2-1-4
6: 4-8-3-5
7: 3-4-2-6
8: 7-1-3-11

Race 5 Streak Of Silver is due and has in form jockey on board. My best value of the day as he is starting to drop in the ratings. Has run to a Lot stronger. 9-1

Race 6 Hithimagainchuck is my best bet on the card. Blinkers first time and has also dropped in the ratings + ran to stronger before. Grant van Niekerk is the pilot, expect a bold showing.

Jackpot 1,8,3,4 x 5,1,4,2,3 x 4 x 3,2,4,6,7 R100

Good Racing
