I hope the stipes GRILL him - If he felt something amiss then why oh why did he not PULL the horse out of the race? You can't keep riding a horse that is obviously feeling something![]()

If I was the owner he would never ride for me again

a) Even though the Stipendiary Board was satisfied that Apprentice Schwarz had not prejudiced his chance of obtaining fourth place, he was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse BRAND NEW CADILLAC out to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Apprentice Schwarz signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.
b) Jockey S Chambers reported that MARIO LANZA was hanging out so severely that he was unable to take the turn. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
Trainer R R Magner will be advised to take the necessary corrective measures going forward to ensure that this gelding is tractable in races.
c) An Inquiry will be opened to establish why BRAND NEW CADILLAC (*D Schwarz), BRAVE GITANO (*M Mjoka), WHATSITALLABOUT (M Yeni), ALI PASHA (*D R Lerena), and WOLVES AMONG SHEEP (G Lerena) had to ease at approximately the 1600m.
d) HOKANUI (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie was advised (LB).
e) BELFRY (*L Hewitson), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry was advised (LB).
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) MARIO LANZA lame left front.
Yet the jock who was looking down for most of the trip to see what the poor horse was feeling did NOT PULL him up and save him from further pain!! And the Stipes think the horse needs schooling but the guy was obviously and factually lame!!!

Unbelievable - I saw him move out on the bend , thought something had gone wrong , the race continued and minutes later here comes the horse to the finish line. I was so surprised that if he felt something go why did he not stop the horse and get off. What you did not see on TT was that then the groom came to the finish line , FC got off and with the sadle on carried on walking to the back. 4 Fck sakes the horse any one could have seen was distressed and not having fun.

He probably wasn't keen on the long walk back to the change room.
