TASHUNCA looked the type to go on after debut - disappointing - very competent rider(2 wins 3 places from 7 rides total) worth a bang at 3-1 or better

On PAPER WIDOW'S LAMP cannot lose on handicap but it is PEand I've died before followng a paper trail so maybe I'll add GIOVANNA just in case(I may well banker if I want to be in or out early)
SCANDOLA is my value at 5-1 - gets a jock up who has won on her before(i see now Zechner is carded Aldo not riding)

Race 1: Wine Hostess has been very disappointing- she works as well as anything at home but seems not able to reproduce it on the track. Maybe her regular workrider can coax a better performance from her. Ohsobright has had three fair runs in PE and looks the one to beat. Banstead Manor has his first run in PE - is bred for further but could be in the shakeup.
Race 2: Widow’s Lamp was not disgraced in the feature race 3 weeks ago and is the one to beat. Summer Moon makes the trip from Cape Town, and although just a winner of a maiden at her last start, looks progressive and in receipt of 6kg must be respected. Chinkapin should earn a cheque.
Race 3: A weakish maiden. The shortlist in order of preference- Fools Garden, State Capture, Ivory Hunter, Peg of Zeus.
Race 4: Very difficult.
Race 5: Dark Goddess was never in the race from a wide draw last time. She should enjoy this trip and jumps from a decent draw. A very open race, and she must have a squeak of a chance.
Race 6: The fillies What a Player and Queen Forever should fight this out. Kimberley Star and Sacred Oration the best of the colts.
Race 7: Juan Two Three ran below best last time but deserves another chance. Brutal Force is capable at best. Captain Alfredo below best last couple but can’t be ignored.
Race 8: Greeff saddles half the field and he holds the key to this race. Our Destiny and Scandola the best of his, although Hot N Hazy could be a runner off a paper weight. Clifton Sunset and Joking the main dangers to the stable.

Spies stable seems like a betting stable...Race 1 money seems to be down on Ohsobright

My play for today
Widows Lamp x Fools Garden x Queen Forever x Our Destiny

Race 7: Brutal Force if anywhere near his best should beat this field comfortably imo

Race 3 Fools Garden doesn't have to be a star to beat this field , had a decent pipe opener , should win this imo
