Was lucky enough to attend a Scottish grand national at Ayr and my father in law backed winner Barona at 33/1
He was jumping about and dropped the ticket but the bookie settled him
I will have fingers and toes crossed for EASY
My selection for the National "double" for scotia is DOING FINE
Good punting

A glorious sunny and warm day today. Think I will take a trip out west to Ayr and park in the Tesco car park and watch from there. Well I am a cheap skate so when you can get a good view from outside the track it would be silly not to take advantage

cracking day of racing in the UK. Across the channel, Via Condotti a full sister to the incredible road warrior Highland Reel (well & Idaho) makes her debut in the opener at Fonteinableu.
Anxious to see if Expert Eye is properly back. Hope he settles. Equally excited to see Defoe, for Roger Varian. He progressed so pleasingly well through the handicaps and the St Leger may have been one run too many.
Braquer D'Or back on good ground at Ayr, 1520 is my value crack of the day in that valuable handicap.

Kimberella running at Thirsk has beaten far better horses in the past than are in this field. Has been kept busy and at 13/2 atm is a gift and you know what they say about not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Just sticking with VINCENTE in National. Seems to reserve form for here.
F O'Brien seems to have taken a liking to Ayr :- BARNEY DWAN R2

R2 nottingham DELFT DANCER 100/30 WIN
sire won over 5f first time out 95 rating then won next 3 rating 106,117 and 121 rating
dam won first two races over 6f 80 rating and 105 rating in soft going
i dont see the favourite HUA HIN as dangeron breeding, other than its 2 month older than my selection
