Buy in competition saturday Turffies. Read rules.

Buy in for Saturday . I will ask the boys in the box to help me with scoring.

R300 buy in .

Winner takes all .

Not the usual tote odds system ... it will work on points .

Pick one horse per race .... whatever odds because odds dont count.
1st place 10 points
2nd place 6 points
3rd place 3 points
4th place 1 point

Need deposits to be done before combo starts with abc name as reference.
If any horse you chosen get scrached after Race 1 is run then you get 5 points for that .
Who is in so i can pm you my bank details ???

Ziets, you know I love a competition but a points system dont work for me. If you have quite a few entries you will find three, four or five entries on the same points... mark my words. So have a fall back plan.
Also, I believe less skill involved in the points system (85% of entries will select any horse less than 2/1 as these are almost guaranteed to score them points)

I was keen when I saw a competition but this type not for me

Ziets any chance you can make it tote wins and places as per usual? Encourages more value. More admin but definitely more lekker.

On a point system you will have to pinpoint the best horse you think going to win for 12 races .... makes it a big different ballgame than posting 12 moerse outsiders and if one hits you win but other 11 legs you ran last .... consistency over 12 legs on a point system will be much tougher for the guy studying with a pindrop than the guy that put in the extra effort .... and false favorites will be exposed .

Im in the box saturday with a few clanners and lets do this and see how it goes ... you mos not a scared young man Colin lol
