"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening Session' Monday 7 July Workings.
16 years 11 months ago
Evening.
This evening completed and went as follows -
The 1st runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 2.22 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.8 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.........
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.7 and with drifting to around 2.1 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though....
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2 and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.2 and with drifting to around 2.68 on arrival and although dropping back down considerably, the price never quite came back down to us, so a race to avoid for race to racers. The runner was beaten and so another drift beats race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.....
The 5th runner we wanted 2.8 and with being around 2.98 on arrival and only getting bigger, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave........
The 6th runner we wanted 1.64, but a non runner and 4.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.61. There was then another non runner and further 4.7% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 1.58. The price was around 2.1 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.......
The 7th runner we wanted 1.64 and with being around 1.92 on arrival and then crashing down to us and slightly beyond under good support, we had a lay at 1.64 max. The lay went and won without much fuss, so the gamble landed and the way it goes......
The 8th and final runner we wanted 1.6, but a non runner and 3.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.58. The price had drifted to around 1.62 on arrival and although hovered above our lay price, never came down enough before going on the drift again and so a race to avoid for race to racers. The runner went and won, so good discipline and a good leave.......
WELL PLAYED.....(4 from the 8 (50%) went and won, so we played a decent game and got the money)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them).....They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and a good result see them hit their targets.......They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner
'Bank builder' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.8 max and a good result see them hit their targets....
