See he retained his IBO title, I only watched the last few rounds but it seems like he has tightened up on his defence .Well done Kevin

When will he get a chance to take on a "big" name?? I suppose he will need to defend his title a few more times

Will only really see how good he his when he stops fighting tomato cans and truck drivers and progresses to proper A-level opponents.
Don't let padded boxing records fool you.
These opponents are nothing like the likes of Aleksandr Usyk (who is set to move to HW which has the cruiser division breathing a sigh of relief) and the real top level boys.

Did what he had to. His team of Rodney Berman and the Smith boys are class acts and they are molding him into the real deal.

Haahaa not sure if you know but that so called ' tomato can/truck driver' was unbeaten for 10 years and had an 80% knockout rate! Get your facts right. Any boxer needs to build up properly for a big paying fight and Berman is the right man to plot that!!!

Kevin has everything but a pity that he doesn't carry enough of a punch to earn the respect of bigger opponents. Takes a good punch and moves well with a complete range of shots but does need more fire power if he is to make it big in his or higher weight divisions.

Go take a look at the calibre of fighters he was matched with during that 10 year 'streak'. Laughable. Boxing promoters are the best marketers out there. They have stables full of 'champs'
There's a mutual opponent between them being Gogita Gogiladze who came to SA totally out of shape and fought at Emperors. Kevin smoked him as he should have.
Like I said, padding records is the easy part but you will be exposed when stepping up to that elite level. Let's not kid ourselves about these IBO titles where champs can cherry pick their opponents in defences rather than say the IBF where eliminators are fought and champions make mandatory defences.
