Preview: MELA STREGATA (6) is bred in the purple and was most impressive in her barrier trial. She appears to have chased away any serious opposition. TUULIKKI (1) ran well below her best last time out but has done well over course and distance. SEE THE PRIZE (7) was not too far back in the trial ‘won’ by Mela Stregata and can improve. ANADOR (2) was much improved when returning from a lengthy break. She could feature in the finish. (Andrew Harrison: 6-1-2-7).
Race 2
4 DYNO MAN 6 MERLIN FROM BERLIN 9 DUKE OF SPAIN 3 CAPTAIN IRISH

8 Has yet to show.
9 Caught the eye in trial. Trip will suit.
10 Blinkers on. Needs to show more.
11 Showed up in trial. Can feature.
Preview: DYNO MAN (4) trialled well and was narrowly beaten on debut. He should do better over this trip and rates a strong chance. MERLIN FROM BERLIN (6) is much better than his last effort. The form of his two previous showing has held up and he should improve. DUKE OF SPAIN (9) trialled well behind his stable companion. He should enjoy this trip. CAPTAIN IRISH (3) showed up well in his barrier trial and should enjoy this trip. (Andrew Harrison: 4-6-9-3).
Race 3
6 MASHARI 11 WILDLY IN LOVE 8 BELLS APOSTLE 2 RIVER OF JANUARY
1 Has improved in blinkers. Not out of it.
2 Some improvement in a tongue-tie. Better this trip.
3 Some improvement in blinkers. Can place.
4 Consistent but needs to show more.
5 Needs to show more.
6 Two fair trials. Should be primed for this.
7 Struggling to improve.
8 Some improvement last run. One to watch.
9 Good looking colt. Disappointing trial but looks capable of big improvement.
10 Made a modest debut.
11 Takes on males but not far back in first two starts. Has a chance.
Preview: Tricky. MASHARI (6) makes his debut after two promising barrier trials. He should enjoy the extra and comes from a stable who takes full opportunity of the trials. WILDLY IN LOVE (11) is a filly taking on males but has caught the eye in her first two starts and should much prefer this trip. BELLS APOSTLE (
showed some improvement last run and could be coming to hand. AL JACKMAN (9) is an impressive colt but was very green in his barrier trial and looked soft. He can make good improvement. (Andrew Harrison: 6-11-8-2-9).
Race 4
2 BURRA BOY 3 WORLD MISSION 4 BLING SWING 6 DEFENDING CHAMPION
1 Needed last run. Has shown some ability.
2 Always dangerous this course and distance.

8 Best recent form this course and distance.
9 Last run best for some time. Needs to repeat.

11 Fair trial after lengthy break. Patchy form.
Preview: Open race. BURRA BOY (2) loves this course and distance. He must have a good chance on recent showings. WORLD MISSION (3) is coming to hand nicely and looks primed for this. BLING SWING (4) has been expensive to follow but is holding form well. He could prove best this trip. DEFENDING CHAMPION (6) has not been far back at recent outings. He tries blinkers for the first time. (Andrew Harrison: 2-3-4-6).
Race 5
1 NINJINSKY’S SON 2 FRANCOLIN 5 GLOBAL PURSUIT 3 IF AND WHEN

9 Can do better this trip.
10 Needs to show more.
11 Needs to improve.
12 Tries further.
13 Shown little over sprints.
Preview: NINJINSKY’S SON (1) is the obvious selection. He has been running on well over shorter and the extra could bring out the best. FRANCOLIN (2) is lightly raced and was not far behind Ninjinsky’s Son last time out. He is bred for this trip. GLOBAL PURSUIT (5) has come into his own since being tried over ground and will be a threat. IF AND WHEN (3) steps up to what could possibly be a more suitable trip and is another to consider. 12 Needs to show more.
13 Light weight. Much improved last run.
Preview: Tricky affair. ROY’S STINGRAY (4) was narrowly beaten last time out and had STAR EVOLUTION (3) and QUEEN’S PLAIN (2) just behind her. Queen’s Plain was a touch unlucky when finding traffic and could turn the tables on her rivals. Roy’s Stingray is 1kg worse off with her rivals. PUMPKIN QUEEN (
was a beaten favourite at her last two on the poly but has smart form over this course and distance. She should be a big factor in the race. (Andrew Harrison: 2-8-3-4)

11 Improved in blinkers. Light weight.
12 Needs to show more.
Preview: Another wide-open handicap. GRATUITY (3) has shown up well in her last two. She drops in class but takes a corresponding rise in weight. MARSALA (
was close-up in a strong Pinnacle field last run. With a 4kg claimer up she should be competitive again. LOVE THEME (11) was much improved in blinkers last start. She has a light weight and can give apprentice Xola Jacobs his first win. LIGHT ON HER TOES (1) is much better than her last effort. She has a good claiming apprentice up and can go close at best.
