I am very much aware of this....but who is fooling who .... one needs to read between the lines when he has to make the journey ONLY for this mount...and HE WILL GET BEAT!

Jooste has no dealings with ridgemont stud whi have bought out Highlands stud.to me its a clean start fot Anton and ridgemont partnership.his one mount could be the selected horses he is chosen to sit on and provide his valubale feedback as they prep for the summer season...

Exactly Rolands point. He is contracted to Ridgemont whether it is a winning ride no one knows..He has to ride.

Not able to really find muchy but race 8 no 1. Saltoro ridge was in my book to follow. Was running on strongly but very very green in first starts then unlucky in penultimate and comfortable maiden winner over mile.
Gelded /rested since so no idea how decent it is but maybe worth watching

Race 1: All the Sevens has fair form this class and was outclassed in the Langerman. It would not be a surprise if one of the first timers were to pop up.
Race 2: Vomandla good debut and looks the pick of the raced runners. Fortune Flies and Fluttering also promising debuts. The expensive Water Spirit gets the services of Anton Marcus but the Crawford stable do not usually push their first timers too hard.
Our two fillies, Grey Princess and Secret Depths both will need the experience and are bred to go a trip so not expecting too much from them.
Race 3: Bunker Hunt flew up late on debut and should be hard to beat but no value at deep odds on. Directors Rock was very poor last time in the wet going and on the wrong side of the track- if repeating penultimate will be in the money. All in Line fair debut and should earn a cheque. Again must be wary of unraced runners.
Race 4: Elusive Trader is on the up and was a fluent winner last time. He is my selection to follow up. Prince Oracy has consistent form and should again be competitive. Skidoo was much improved in workriders company last time, and could feature but this is much stronger. Jephthah won well on debut but has been below that since albeit in quite strong juvenile races. Rommel is hard to assess- he met some top sorts last year around the turn but not sure if he will perform this trip.
Race 5: Tevez and Olympian are veterans but remain competitive. Angels Trumpet may find this a bit sharp but could surprise running fresh. Al Wahed should be in the mix under a very low weight.
Race 6: A very open race.
Race 7: Another tricky fillies’ handicap. Angel of Athens disappointing last time after a nice run when returning from a break the time before. She has been working well so we are hoping for a decent run here.
Race 8: A weak race and anything can pop up. Aldato did not beat much last time but looks kindly treated by the handicapper and despite a wide draw could be ew value at 14/1.
