The forecast is for a storm later this afternoon- hopefully it hits when the racing is done. In the meantime there is a strong tailwind and the going should start off good.
Race 1: Pippielangkous good debut and should win unless a smart first timer. Sekushi Girl two fair runs and should earn.
We have Elusive Green having her first run- if she is not too green she could earn as she shows quite good speed in her work.
Race 2: Shadowing has run against some decent sorts and is overdue his maiden win. Rip It Up decent debut and has plenty of scope to improve to win this. Dragon Power should round off the trifecta.
Race 3: The well bred Tyrian should enjoy the step up in trip but I see no value in his price.. Dynamite Jack is well tried but a repeat of his last run behind a decent sort could be enough to win. Divine Law and Majestic Mozart should improve on fair debuts. Deposition can be forgiven his last effort from a wide draw at Durbanville and his debut was very promising. A couple of first timers to worry about as well.
We have Forty Days running. He was a bit disappointing last time when ridden too handy in a fast run race. He has the worst of the draw but with more suitable tactics he is in with an ew chance.
Race 4: Go Snow Girl Go and Contessa’s Glance have fair form. Faye and Cozy Chestnut will enjoy the extra and could both improve to contest. Support for first timer Strawberry Wine should be noted.
Race 5: Hemero nearly surprised last time when returning from a break and should be very hard to beat here with that run under the belt. If she does not win then any of 1,3,4,5. could do it.
Race 6: A very competitive race and any result possible.
We have Shall be Free- he has not won for a very long time, and he is still too high in the handicap despite coming down a few points. Not much hope here from the widest draw.
Race 7: Power Grid should enjoy the tailwind and is my selection. Nasty Harry and Bwana the main dangers.
Race 8: A tricky race- no selection
