Fire Away

No I do not have a good thing for you.

Today is the Personal Ensign Stakes in America. Personal Ensign retired undefeated in 13 starts and in her last start she won the Breeders Cup Distaff by beating the filly Winning Colors who won the Kentucky Derby earlier that year.

Couple of well known breeders in South Africa have bought a horse called Fire Away who will race for Mike de Kock in Dubai before becoming a stallion. Fire Away's grandam is non other than Personal Ensign.

So now in South Africa we have Judpot whose dam is the mighty Miesque and soon we shall have Fire Away.

.....hope he stands in the Western Cape....mare bands in that neck of the woods much more suitable....these War Front progeny are easier to read and mate..... than the current concoction of sires in that region.....:S

......should do well with Roberto influence in in Al Mufti and a better match to Captain Al mares to compliment both the Roberto an extra Damascus and Bold Ruler through Dewan....

I see in USA yesterday, Querari and Quasillo half sibling, Quidura, won a Grade 2 Race at Saratoga. They paid $3.6 millions dollars for her as a future broodmare prospect.

Also Misty Birnham, formerly with Mike de Kock won at Redcar yesterday and Whisky Baron ran 2nd in a Grade 2 event.
