"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Wednesday 16 July Workings.
17 years 1 month ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.86 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The price then took a turn and drifted back out to our own price of 3.0 and above, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' lay now though........
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.5 and with being around 2.28 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.28 max. The lay was a nicely beaten 2nd and so a good result......
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2 and with being 3.1 and shortening under good support on arrival, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay was beaten after a battle, so a good result.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.9 and with being around 3.4 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.7 and with being around 2.82 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 2.7. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.0 and beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 6th runner we wanted 3.5, but a non runner and 5.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.37 (3.35 nearest exchange price). The price was a big 5.4 on arrival and getting bigger, so with not seeing our lay price at any stage, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........
The 7th runner we wanted 1.5 and with being around 1.86 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won easily, so a decent priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......
The 8th runner we wanted 1.8 and with being a well supported 1.69 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.69. The lay went and won, so the way it goes, but only traders playing now and they easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it and no harm done..........
The 9th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 2.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.65 (2.66 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.78 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten after a battling finish, so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 10th and final runner we wanted 1.8 and with being around 2.16 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so another drift justified and another 'one that got away in hindsight'......
WELL PLAYED...................(2 from the first 4 (50%) went and won - 4 from the first 8 (50%) went and won - so a tricky session, but we dealt with it well and got the money)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner and after a bit of a battle, they went to their 4th lay (the 5th runner) to hit their targets.........They then found themselves running out of enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target, so they end the session winning 1 target.....
'Bank building' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that only bought relief......They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.28 and a good result see them win a nice chunk of their targets...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 3.1 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
'Free' lay bought no free profit, only relief.

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so well played guys and good luck fighting by yourselves this evening...
Builders played the perfect game early on to get the money with ease, so well played guys. Rollers had a little battle, but came through well to get the money and well played. I'm off out this evening and so good luck traders (only a few this evening to play) and hope to see good results on my return. Speak in the morning.
Marc.
