Seems very quiet here today ..... early start .... not sure how much rain fell and will need to check out the going in the first .... may affect some results if the going is more forgiving
R1: Very open ..... runners like Chief Black Horse and El Sereno well drawn and could easily improve into the money
R2: Abelie overdue - wide draw may mean that runners like Petite Aime and Jet in Style can make her run
R3: Closely matched - will depend on who is in the mood on the day - Columbina and Lady of the World seem good enough for the PA at least
R4: Only a wet track MAY pose a problem for Pretty Penny; Schippers looks well in here and looks good for a place
R5: Tough race; need to go wide
R6: Really fancied On the Double; with that one out, I think Barbie Doll will go close with Only to Win (1600? ) a possible danger; Redberry Wood from the stable's talk, looks a danger and Shelly is in form, so can't be ignored; London Secret runs in steels, so may need the run and imo Cold Cash will find this trip too sharp - unless they go really hard up front (which I doubt)
R7: Nothing has changed from last week; the race to give an indication of the strength of the 3 yr olds; looks to be Chimichuri Run's race to lose; most of the opposition drawn wide and has beaten each other on various occasions; so either CR or wide ....
R8: High level handicap; Unagi has been deadly this track and trip (has never finished further back than 3rd in 6 tries here) but it has been a while since his last win, so while he can't be ignored; the safer options for the PA are the in-form Puget Sound and Shukamisa; Zouaves probably not at best yet and also probably better over shorter, while imo Cash Time will find this much too short; so the main danger to the top 2 could be Mambo Symphony- who is also something of a specialist here, having won twice and placed second twice from 6 tries
R9: Looks open; Afrostar out of a staying dam, so likely to be better over further; Goodness Me has pole position, but has never even placed from 4 tries this track and trip; Some Song probably the safest inclusion with Ladies Club (at best this track and trip) for the PA, but for the P6 runners like Virginia Moon and Wrap it Up need consideration is well.
R10: Arte likes the marathon trip and would be my bet if forced; Cheat the Cheaters not striding out last time, but looks really well weighted today and could appreciate the slightly softer going, so could be a big runner today
R11: Where did I put my pin - Front Rank the right one at the weights and would be my pick if forced
Enjoy
