Sun Classique update.

Classique treatment going well
Sun Classique had been under consideration for Falmouth Stakes before picking up injury
CONNECTIONS of Sun Classique have received a relatively hopeful assessment of the tendon injury sustained by their two-time Group 1 winner.
Mike de Kock's charge, who had been under consideration for the Falmouth Stakes before picking up the problem in some exercise, was initially feared to have run her last race.
Although it is early days, de Kock is keeping his fingers crossed an assessment made by David Chapman-Jones, who runs the rehabilitation centre where Sun Classique is a temporary resident, proves accurate.
"I actually spoke to David today. He's the man who oversees all her rehab at the centre and he's quite optimistic about it," the trainer reported.
"He's seen some with worse injuries come back so we're keen to keep an open mind about it and we still have her, which is very important.
"Whatever will be, will be, and she'll stay with them at the rehabilitation centre for anything between eight and 16 weeks.
"It's just on going but it's very interesting and I've never seen anything like it before.
"They're doing a very good job there and people like this don't always get the good publicity they need. Hopefully they can help her and she can do the same for them."

Running the risk of sounding pessimistic, I doubt if this horse will run again. This well performed and bred filly will fetch much if sold, but also a great breeding option for its current owners
