Double :-

R6) Clouds Unfold X (R8) Water Spirit
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

The Kenilworth season gets under way, but a tough card for punters.
Race 1: November Storm has not reproduced its good first run but the return to Kenilworth could be what he’s looking for if fit after a long break. Not the best of fields and all of 2,3,5,6,9 have shown enough to win. The first timer, Fergus does not have to be a star to win.
Race 2: Rip it Up and Vascostreettractor look the right two at the weights and should be progressive enough to beat the older horses. Crown Guardian and Arabian Air are classy sorts but have to give the other two a lot of weight.
Race 3: A tricky handicap to kick off the PA. Margrethe and Dream Dancer have both been very consistent and they head the short list.
Race 4: The big guns return from a break. Dutch Philip had no luck with draws at Greyville. He is a very classy sprinter and my pick to win. Undercover Agent is best in at the weights but this is on the sharp side. Search Party has been off the track a long time but is capable at best.
Race 5: Another closely handicapped affair. No selection.
Race 6: A very classy line up even after the two scratchings. Temple Graffin has the plum draw and now gets top jockey. The one to beat even though she has not had a prep run. Canukeepitsecret had a very good prep run- if she sees out the trip is a big runner. Clouds Unfold thrashed the boys in the Nursery but also runs here without a prep- she seems the stable elect from a powerful stable. Coral Bay won two good features last term and will see this out and further. Santa Clara has a poor draw but was just behind Coral Bay. Nous Voila comes from the same Cape form-lines. We have Helen’s Ideal running. She choked up in the running last time and now runs with the tongue tie. She is bred to go a trip and is still improving. Must include in all exotics.
Race 7: Cirillo brings strong form and is the one to beat. Twist of Fate is talented but jumps from the worst draw. Clouded Hill flopped at Durbanville but could bounce back this course. Elusive Trader is 2 kg better off with Pleasedtomeetyou and should turn the tables on him this time. Seventh Sea is very well in at the weights.
We have Lanza running- he should enjoy this trip and he has come on from his last run. He has a definite ew shout.
Race 8: Water Spirit has been priced up at odds on. While her 81 rating is not too demanding and she is my first choice, I think the price too skinny. The value ew may lie with Amarosa at 12/1- her recent form has been poor but at best she is very well in at the weights.
Race 9: Nothing really stands out in this maiden, and all of 1, 6, 9, 10, 15 and 16 have shown enough to win.

A bit difficult to pick any in the features with confidence. Going to have a bit on Lanza . Elusive trader and Twist of fate if I like on the day.
Possibly Santa Clara is also decent odds and another outsider I will be watching is Shamrock wind whom I suspect in the right race on the day could upset"
Also pinnacle sprint has my interest and with a few that will be needing run it could go any which way......undercover agent classy.
Comment was Dutch Phillip very well so must have a bit on that. Not seen any comment on Bishops Bounty but may have to include to make it pay , on assumption that they have sorted out issues that made him go from consistent to random last season but capable of the sort of race he ran in Diadem .

But my happiness on the day will depend on winx :)
