Just a thought Mac, Lerena has 4 rides for Azzie on the day, why would he give up a winning chance, or is he contracted to ride for the Janse Van Vuuren stable - the reason for not riding the Azzie horse in the last?
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Some very competitive racing again today ... thoughts:
R2: I think Paused is very good value at 8/1 - gets pole position and ran on very nicely last time; does not seem the strongest of fields; obvious danger is Adamo; both the de Kock and Tarry runners comes off rests, so may need it
R3: I have D' Arrivee running to quite a lot higher than his current rating when 2nd to Warrior's Rest (who did flop next time); I think the blinkers has improved DA and he will be hard to beat here; Purple Diamond disappointed last time, but the stable seems to think he will run much better today, so probably the main danger; not a lot between Shogun and Morning Catch on their last meeting, so they should challenge for the places with Danza (better this jock ?) ; Classify another with a place chance imo
R4: This does not look easy; Mrs O may be stretched by the 1450 and does not have the greatest of draws, but her form looks a touch above the others, so obviously can't be ignored; the other Azzie runners are said to need the run (but Flying Fable is not really drifting off the boards - so who knows); Twelve Oaks looks well in with a few others, but not sure to be as effective over the 1450, while Vivir has a tough draw, so runners like An Air of Success, Eleni and Jameson Girl could surprise; Visuality out at the weights and also drawn worst of all, so not for me
R5: Green Top really has to fall over to lose this; only Storm Destiny looks to have the class to match her; but should need the run a bit
R6: Tough staying handicap; Mighty and Magic deserving favorite, but plenty others could be challenging at these weights; even the long shot Daytona Charger on the run behind Kamakura looks capable of upsetting - I'm loading up
R7: Another wide open contest; besides the obvious contenders like Revelation, Psychic and Kurt's Approval, runners like Shanghai Pierce, Supa Mufti and Tiger Jet are capable of upsetting imo
R8: Yet another tough race; O Lucky Man and Varimax probably safest for the PA, as Cumberland and Lazarus Tree have wide draws to deal with; Sleepinseattle not to be ignored with Blue DIamond Road and Private Rules; real roughie Rambo is most effective over this track and trip.
R9: Does look a two horse contest between Perfect Tigress and Kentucky Blue (and I have given up trying to figure up why a particular jock rides a particular horse); only danger to these two imo is Soul of Whit on her run behind Rose in Bloom
Enjoy
