The highly anticipated Grade 1 Unibet Morgiana Hurdle has cut up badly after Samcro and Supasundae were pulled out on account of conditions being too quick.
In their absence Faugheen will be sent off a long odds-on favourite against Sharjah, Tombstone and Wicklow Brave in a four-runner race.
Samcro's trainer Gordon Elliott made the call to withdraw shortly after the first hurdle race on the card.
Speaking on At The Races shortly before racing, Elliott said: "I walked the track after racing yesterday and again this morning. They've done a good job – put a nice bit of water on – but for me down the hill it is still a bit quick and is a big worry.
"The sun is shining and the ground is drying like mad. I'd be very worried."
Earlier on Sunday Jessica Harrington took Punchestown Champion Hurdle winner Supasundae out due to the ground, which is officially described as good, good to yielding in places.
She revealed he is instead likely to reappear in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle, over 2m4f, at Fairyhouse next month.
