VAN zyl (double) Race 8 & 9
Both Gavin and chesney only bringing one horse each to the track...got to have big chances
Will play the place double @ 7/1 safer bet
National park seems very hard to beat...Blinkers on perfect peter will take the exacta and swingers
Railtrip last race had to come from last...(each way)
Running brave HAS TO HAVE BIG A CHANCE ALSO...BEAT RETURN FLIGHT BY 3.40 LENGTHS OVER THE 1400M...EVERY RACE AFTER THAT RUNNING BRAVE HAS BEEN LESS THAN 3 LENGTHS OF THE WINNER..
SWINGER WITH RAILTRIP
PLACES ON RUNNING BRAVE
FLOAT RAILTRIP/RUNNING BRAVE WITH THE FIELD QUARTET

Race 8 - National Park 5/4
What an impressive win in the Graham Beck. He didn't just beat Chimichuri Run, he trounced him. I personally think Chimichuri Run is a top quality animal. He wasn't stopping LTO so I see no problem with the mile. I think he just needs to repeat that run and he will win this. Looking forward to watching him!
Race 9 - Return Flight 5/2
Top filly this as she proved as a 2yo which culminated in her facile win on Gold Cup day. She will be better on this galloping circuit. My only concern is her fitness, otherwise IMO she should be 1/1 to win this. If she brings her best here, she should cross the finish line first.

Thoughts on a card where only the Dingaans look pretty straight forward imo ....
R2: Mighty and Magic goes 400m further, which may or may not suit; the obvious 2 to take advantage of the extra 400m look to be Storm Warning (unbeaten this track an trip) and Tapenzee, who has also won over the 3000m; Fortune Fella has always looked best at this track and may now also prefer the 3000 - those 4 go into my BP
R3: Tough looking fillies and mares handicap; obvious one is Empress Valley, but many of the others can feature; I'm including the roughie Blue Sage, who ran a fair race after a break over 1800 here last time against the boys; Munger riding really well so I think good value
R4: Any of the first 7 in number order; Zeal and Zest a winner this track and trip (and 3 times at the track), gets 1.5 kgs off courtesy of Luke Ferraris, so definite inclusion imo; Master Magic also should run well, but needs to overcome a wide draw; Volcanic Sunset looking for this kind of trip imo
R5: Another handicap, where only Irish Pride looks to have no chance on current form; The Rising Legend looks a PA banker, but for me Bold Viking is well in at the weights and I think Big Voice Jack can put his last poor run (when the jock lost his crop) behind him - can't be ignored on his penultimate with this light weight
R6: Another fillies and mares handicap, but some of these really seem unlikely to feature; my top three would be the obvious ones - Ossetra, Quebec Queen, Sammi Moosa (very good last effort), while My Dream Chaser takes on a lot weaker today and may be up to it; All I Got fair last run and pole position, so definite inclusion, while the Kimberley raider Gypsy Queen could throw a spanner in the works
R7: Yet another handicap and tough to narrow down; all of the tops 6 in the betting need inclusion to be relatively safe
R8: National Park top run last time, wasn't stopping, so should be hard to peg back again; only danger imo is the de Kock trained Hawwaam, who won impressively on debut and may be good enough to threaten NP; others like Atyaab, Perfect Peter, Bien Venue and Roll of Drums surely looking for a place at best
R9: More competitive than the betting suggests imo; Return Flight obvious chance, but returns from a break and has to give the others weight, which makes her beatable imo; Ronnie's Candy beat some of these last time and at identical weight terms should go close again as she did not appear to be stopping over the 1400; dark horse could be Isle de France, who found big support in the market last time behind RC, but was reported to suffer from a breathing noise - gets a tongue-tie today and is worth another chance imo; many of the others (Celtic Sea, Ghaalla, Rail Trip, Storm Destiny and Running Brave) have shown their class before, so all can feature at their best
Enjoy
