For me, based on a few things I like to look at, Hawwaam to win it.
He is less exposed and he doesn't fear Chimichurri through national park.
As a specimen, there is little to choose but again, I like Hawwaam's action just a little more.
One world is a dead river for Captain Al!

Hawwaams win yesterday has to be the most impressive of the season to date....a horse that can come from last 250 m out and win by 3.5 lengths and ran another 250m past the post because it couldn't be slowed down is a very special animal. The last two wins indicate he is a classic horse in its winning style...whip use or not it has many gears and knows how to use them. At the 800m mark about 15 lengths off the pace Gavin said he felt confident....unless the horse is very speacil no jockey can be confident.
By Silvano will be better in the 1800/2200m range. Brother Rainbow Bridge is the best in the Cape and will be sold soon..the offers must be pouring in. The world watches SA racing and I'm sure a figure will come through that is hard to pass by.
The only concern is that JHB form is normally weaker than the Cape and good horses never seem to run on and maintain such precious performance in the seasons to follow. Last year De Kock had around 7 of these horses who were all undefeated and Delpech couldn't even choose which one to ride. But I think after Hawwaam wins the Guiness in December he will be confirmed as the best in the land. One World is strong front runner and only Marcus pace tactics and traffic problems as well as acclimation to the sea breeze will keep Hawwaam from winning the race.

Kaotik, I think you had the wrong horse at the 250m Mark. Hawwaan is about 4/5th by then. In saying that he was very impressive.

At this stage I’ll be with the street wise One World but next year I can’t see a horse beating Hawwaam. I think Marshall will win the Guineas and De Kock will win everything next year.

Hawwaam, have a tilt at the Cape Derby, then put him away for the KZN season, with the July in mind.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Definitely in the Hawwaam camp; imo even though National Park ran about 6 lengths below his run in the Graham Beck (using In Cahoots) , that would still put him about 1.5 lengths behind H .... but NP put Chim Run to bed in no uncertain fashion in that race, who then gave One World a lot to think about on Saturday ..... so for once the Cape 3 yr olds may have to take a back seat .... not forgetting Thanksgiving who I thought ran very well on Saturday .....

I did not watch Hawaam on Saterday .
However i did watch now .
SCARY!!!!!!!!
Bomb this one.
One world no show against this Monster.
A stride worth a thousand words cut through the field like a hot knife through butter.
All the Talk for that PE horse and Hawaam made National Park look ordinary albeit not.

One World ( and Chimi ) is a monster - a gross 123 - Howwaam is a baby in comparison, a gross 112.

It takes a very good Highveld horse to go and beat the best in the Cape.
I think Hawwaam is one of those very good horses.
