Don't think i will look past Great Shaka in the 5th and Buffalo Bill Cody might have their measure in the next
Not convinced Greek Fire is at his best so might look for a nice result

On the face of it, I agree that 21 points seem very harsh for a Derby win - where I think many of the good ones did not stay

Picked up the following ..... 'The 7th race is an assessment plate with 9 runners - stakes will be paid for the first 8 places - wonder what that stakes will be - as according to Computaform, the 5th placed stake is listed as the grand sum of R2,700

Too many hot pot favorites on the card for me, Dave. Can't see them all winning. Waiting for the egg to come flying at me
Looking forward to seeing The Lawyer's run. Could be a champ in the making

After the euphoria of beating United last night, back to the top of the EPL and making a few bob on the match (stealing money), will definitely invest in the horseracing today.
Like Haupie says, looking for some of those hot pot favourites to get rolled today.
Race 1. Lasair (e/w)
Race 2. Smart Deal
Race 3. Eternal Summer (w) Peggy Carter (e/w)
Race 6. Either Captain and Master or Unagi to shock Buffalo Bill
Race 7. On the double (e/w)
Race 8. Zerodarkthirty and Cherokee Grey

Lovely holiday meeting - as mentioned by others - plenty of hotties to take on
R1: Even on a 2nd run that was below the first, Reach for the Line looks tough to beat, Winter Crusade may improve with blinkers and could prove 2nd best from the de Kock coupling and Nimcha, with Ti Gar and Waqaas inclusions in trifectas and quartets
R2: A few perennial bridesmaids take each other on, and one of Smart Deal, The Bosbok or Indy Ice should get it right today - not too sure which one though; Wild Fire another to consider for BP and PA purposes
R3: Matanuska is taking on a real moderate bunch and should prove very hard to beat; Eternal Summer did finish in front of M over 1800, but got well beat over 2400 - if there was something amiss on that occasion, she may be able to upset the favorite; grasping at straws, perhaps Regal Girl can improve over this trip
R4: Competitive fillies and mares handicap, where all 8 must have some sort of chance
R5: This seems to lie between the consistent Copper Jay and Great Shaka; Pillaroftheearth not out of it though and Whorly Whorly could be the joker in the pack
R6: Pinnacle Plate; Buffalo Bill Cody convincing last win, but I'm not convinced he took on the strongest field; got the max 8 points for that win and imo no value here at the price; Captain and Master back to his best last time in the sprint and could prove a big threat to BBC imo, while Pietro Mascagni also seems very capable and could also be thereabouts if not needing it too much
R7: Assessment Plate; Greek Fire imo also much too short in the betting over a trip which seems at the bottom of his range; On the Double appeals getting 6.5 kgs from GF, with Make Your Move also catching my eye on a good penultimate run; I have Hero's Honour at 95 (Greek Fire at 87 - officially both rated much higher); at 95, HH could still feature (strictly at the weights) but surely this is too short even if not in need of the run
R8: Where is my pin - I'll take an each-way stab on Greto, who at double-figure odds has as much chance as any
Enjoy
