"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Tuesday 22 July Workings.

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 1.3, and with being around 1.48 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.65 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy though......

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.0 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.0. The lay went and won, so the way it goes........

The 4th runner we wanted 1.2, but a non runner and 9.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.18. The price was a big 1.71 on arrival and only got bigger, so with not seeing anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a very nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.72. The price was around 2.56 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.56. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....

The 6th runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.33 on arrival and not dropping down to us at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won well enough, so a good leave.....

The 7th and final runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting around 2.9 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.9. The price then went for a walk and out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.................(3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - and 4 from the 7 (57%) in total - So a tough session for us, but we dealt with it well and well battled guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) finished level.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after a poor start they went and broke level on their 3rd and final lay (the 7th runner).......

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 3.0, but a poor result see them go behind early......They then had their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.56 and a good result see them win a chunk back.......They then had a 'free' lay (the 7th and final runner) and a good result see them win a tiny bit.....That's where they ended it and so they concede a very tiny 0.25 - 0.3 of a target,...

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 3.0 max. Result negative. Lose £100

Total bank now £300

2nd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £100 @ 2.56. Result positive. Win £64

Total bank now £364

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £4

Total bank now £368

Overall result. Concede 0.3 of a target.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £80 to win as much of the £100 target @ 3.0 max. Result negative. Lose £80

Total bank now £320

2nd lay £80 to recoup as much of the £80 @ 2.56. Result positive. Win £51

Total bank now £371

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £3

Total bank now £375

Overall result. Concede 0.25 of a target.

'Traders' had to concede a little on the 3rd runner at 3.0 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, but they still conceded a little and so they go into this evening trying to recoup..

So a very testing session with plenty of winners, but we battled well and walked away practically unscathed. So well played/battled and speak soon......

Morning.

This afternoon's workings, as follows:

2.15 Yarmouth. GLOBAL CITY (1.48)

Our price 1/2 (1.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.3, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although very lightly raced, he did show enough speed to lead on debut, so no surprise to see the same tactics applied for this afternoon. Also please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early market for clues, concerning this race*

2.45 Yarmouth. ASK NICELY (3.35)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown enough speed to suggest he can race prominently in context with this race today*

3.00 Salisbury. SQUARE EDDIE (3.35)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.2, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please be aware that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

3.15 Yarmouth. ALEATRICIS (1.5)

Our price 2/5 (1.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.2, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to lead, or race very prominently*

3.35 Salisbury. FAITH AND REASON (2.98)

Our price 21/10 (3.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.8, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.20 Yarmouth. MUTAB (1.31)

Our price 1/3 (1.33) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.2, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.40 Salisbury. ETHAARA (2.9)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 10.51am.

That's our work for this afternoon's session then. Sorry the mail's a bit later than normal, but had to allow for drying ground's and non runners. Not easy with a limited amount to work with, plus of course a few having very good chances of winning, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant a fight, so we'll go in steady and play to our prices and hopefully it will show the way home. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
