Palace Chapel drifting like a barge - last week this happened to the Peter's hottie and it ran accordingly
Anyway not sure it's going to matter - delayed indefinitely due to lightning

I am sure this has been addressed before but can’t remember seeing a response from someone in the know. Perhaps trainer or track logistics. In light of all these cancellations of meetings. Why can meetings not start earlier at 10.30? If this has been answered/explained before pls point me to thread.

.....but an earlier start not that feasible as transport has to be a lot earlier to make it to the course....

Yip first strings usually out between 5:30 and 6:00 - second string by 7:30 - 8:00 - but yes then there is feeding and general maintenance etc - but no one is stopping night racing because the horses have to be fed a 17:00 - so imo no real reason why they can't start earlier - however Sod's Law would have it blitzing by 13:00 if they start at 10:30 - in general though the storms tend to arrive later in the afternoon

....one can adapt the training and feed schedules of horses into a racing program.....however having a horse stand longer in a float in the early morning traffic to make an earlier course deadline could have a more detrimental affect as far as stress levels are concerned......horses today are already far too stressed than those back in the day when there was far less traffic.....and less airborne pollution from burning carbon at the rate we pollute today.....:S

More than 60% of MetAlloys along that R54/R69 is defunct. Sad state of industry in SA. we need " out-of-box-thinking" like " FlyDubai"
