Scarborough Fair got such a hard ride there - The jocks arms must be falling off - I wonder if the stipes will call him in for trying too hard  That was truly an educational ride if ever I saw one.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 7 and 10 - STEADY BREEZE & YODALICIOUS : Both
fillies can be thereabouts if not too green.
Not giving anything away obvious they wanted the early price on Yodalicious and they got it.
14-1 into 2-1 at the off but it backfired terribly.

How many times does he have the 'talk of the town' favourite that goes missing..? Now there's nothing, scratch the one that would be 5/10 and go and win by 2 lengths. Vintage.

Morning Bob,
Gavin does not read forums such as this, but I do, so an “insider” factual response to this persistent line of thought, if I may? :

Firstly, Gavin will almost always put the stable “away-jock” on a client’s horse, in preference to one of his own. Secondly, Gavin will almost always put an apprentice jockey with a claim, on a horse he believes can benefit from the claim, in order to get the best possible result from that horse. Thirdly, unlike in many other stables, the stable “away –jock” will also not ride a horse that has reputation of being difficult, unless a top horse. Local work riders who have experience with such horses will almost always get the ride. Decisions are not made in order to fool the punter, but for the best outcome for the owners, horses, and jockeys. If this is a crime, then so be it!
If Yodalicious can win I will be shouting for her, as will I for Steady Breeze, if she is in a winning position.
Regards
Andrew Smith
(In my personal capacity, and not as a spokesperson for the stable).
HI Andrew
Thanks for the reply (and Bob for posting).
Please accept my humble apologies if my post was seen as malicious. There was no malicious intent at all.
Cheers
