That's exactly the point. Jockey did not ride out to the finish so we'll never know. This is worse than the Aldo incident imo...let's see if rules are consistently applied.

National Park absolutely trounced them....I doubt Hawwaam would have won even if ridden differently

oh yes....on another note....I am not in the opinion that Hawwaam is better than Soqrat.....well definitely not over 1600m

b) RUNNING BRAVE (D L Habib) and BLOSSOM (R Fourie) were hanging in from the 400m.
c) An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey D L Habib’s use of the crop.
d) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with STORM DESTINY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e) Jockey C Zackey reported that SCENT OF EVENING made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f) Jockey B Fayd’Herbe reported that JUST CHAOS was coughing in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g) An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey C Orffer’s riding of RONNIE’S CANDY in the concluding stages.
h) NAFAAYES (AUS) (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F de Kock was advised (MdP).


Not sure what happens to Habib if found guilty - has been find last 2 starts this horse for use of crop so that's 3 in a row if found guilty
