With all the rain about... Oh so Cold

Going declared 'Good to Soft' - without any more rain and the sun out, I think it will dry out nicely .... thoughts ....

R2: Liberado really overdue, with Shanghai Tang and The Makwakkers the only dangers on form

R3: Competitive F&M Handicap; for me Glamorous Scandal has a lot going for her here and rates the one to beat from Azkur who is steadily improving back to the type of form that saw her running less than a length behind Secret Potion last year this time; Parisienne Chic runs well in the soft, but her form at the Inside track not that great; so my 3rd choice is Bondiblu who has a win and a 2nd and 3rd over this track and trip

R4: A race that could provide a shock result, as none of the top 3 in the betting has form over 2000; IF Railtrip gets the trip, she will win, but if not I'm including Santa Vittoria who at least has won over 2000 and is best in of the others

R5: Very thin race; Mighty Rock improved nicely when going over ground and rates the one to beat imo, with Blame Game and Humour Me trying the trip, so who knows

R6: Competitive handcap; another case of two runners (Yamoto and Arlington's Revenge) being unknows over this trip; I'm guessing Y will be more likely to get the trip than AR (who is out of a Muhtafal mare) the other 3 with form (Seventh of June, Zeal and Zest and Kings Cup) have no problems with the trip, so are definite inclusions with perhaps Gentleman Only

R7: Schippers said to not be at her best, which imo leaves the way open for Green Plains, but stable mate Desert Rhythm is no slouch and I am definitely including her; the others seem held, but any of them could surprise should the Tarry coupling fail to live up to expectations

R8: I think most people are reading this race on reputation and not on form; Orpheus only beat Gone With The Wind by less than half a length, and now is a kg worse off, yet is trading at 5/2 while GwtW is available at more than 20s; Tarzan should easily hold Only To Win on their runs behind Monopolize and is my first choice from Epic Dream, who may or may not be effective this trip after having failed over it once before

R9: Not the easiest race to close; Irish Wonder Girl obvious claims, but may just need another 100m or so, My Dream Chaser should be ideally suited to the distance, but is a few kgs out here on official ratings; so my tentative first selection is Vi Va Pi Pa, who needs to bounce back from a poor last effort, but would certainly put these to bed on her run when defeating Chijmes in the Ready to Run Cup; Xplosive Kiss best in on official ratings, but I think that rating is to be taken with a pinch of salt, and the betting seems to suggest that this is sort of an experiment over the trip; Ex's 'n Oh's and Now You See Me both come of maiden wins, so imo needs to do more to feature here

SJG has done it before with outsiders in these groom races. Gate Relief had 2 runs trying sprints. Groom race now suddenly trying the mile. At 20/1 cannot get hurt having an each way bet
