Race 1
Weiho Marwing
No 7 Laconia - Has been battling but did run a better race last time.
Hoping for further improvement
Race 2
Tyrone Zackey
No 8 Gentleman Only - Is in good form and should have a good quartet chance
Brian Wiid
No 9 Kurt's Approval - Is racing over his right distance and with a
nice light weight should run a good race
Fabian Habib
No 3 Storm Warning - Does prefer the Turffontein inside track. He's in
a competitive field but has a place chance
Race 3
Mike Azzie
No 3 The Sash - Ran a disappointing race last time out. We are trying
different tactics this time and if she brings her track work to the
course, she should be in with a chance.
Race 4
Sean Tarry
No 8 Rockin Russian - Should need the run
Candice Dawson
No 4 Epic Dream - Is well within himself and i'm hoping for another good run
Brian Wiid
No 9 Mr Tinsel - Is in a tough assessment plate race
Grant Maroun
No 2 Bubbly Reply - Is way out at the weights in this assessment plate
Race 5
Sean Tarry
No 6 Shenanigans - Should need the run
Mike Azzie
No 1 Full Mast - Drops down in class as he has been racing against
stronger company recently. He should be included.
No 4 Greek Fire - Has been unlucky in his last two runs having
suffered interference. He comes back to the 1400 meters trip and
should have a big say.
No 2 Splendid Garden - Has been rested and should need the run
Barend Botes
No 5 Captain Courteous - Has had his fair share of problems. He has
the services of Piere Strydom and should be included in the quartets.
Race 6
Mike Azzie
No 4 Friend Of Time - Meets slightly weaker opposition than he took on last time
in an assessment plate and is in with a chance here
Barend Botes
No 11 Le Tigre - Has had problems with his feet(hooves) in the past.
They seem to have now been sorted and improvement can be expected.
Brian Wiid
No 3 Eastern Healer - Is a decent sort. He doesn't have the best of
the draw but is in with a chance
Grant Maroun
No 7 Jack's Back Returns from a short break and should need the run
No 12 Singaswewin - Has a small place chance
Race 7
Barend Botes
No 14 Fly North - Has been showing good work at home without the
blinkers and if she reproduces that form at the course, she should run
well.
Tyrone Zackey
No 7 Tricia - Is in good form and should again have a good quartet chance
Brian Wiid
No 19 Snow Path - Takes her place in an open looking race and i'm just
hoping she can earn a cheque.
Weiho Marwing
No 18 Empress Rock - Looking for a better run.
Ashley Fortune
No 1 Get Your Grove On - Enjoys this course and distance. Should run well
Race 8
Mike Azzie
No 6 Mistressofmyfate - Was a comfortable winner on debut. She has
received a high merit rating for that win and although she seems to be
a decent filly there are others that need to be respected here.
Tobie Spies
No 14 Melinda's Garden - Has been disappointing recently but has been
battling with some respiratory issues. We are trying the tongue tie
and hopefully that can help.
Ashley Fortune
No 17 Pachanga - Always tries her best and seldom finishes far off them.
No 3 Rings And Things - Distance suited. Has ability and should run
well if at her best.
Fabian Habib
No 5 Silvez - Returns from a rest. Will need the run
Weiho Marwing
No 7 Laconia - Has been battling but did run a better race last time.

Boutique may be underated as a MR64. I think it could be in the mid 70's in the near future.

Re: The Vaal Tuesday

A real competitive card imo .... thoughts:
R1: Weak bunch of fillies where anything can happen; Merengue only a length behind Nandi's Vision and her next run with blinkers could perhaps be overlooked; would be my each-way play at decent odds
R2: Middle Stakes, should be easier to dissect, but I find it quite tough; Condor Gulch has found betting support, so can't be ignored and many of the others are closely matched on previous form, then we have the two female who are best in by quite a couple of points - I'm loading up in the BP
R3: Ossetra very consistent and should be thereabouts again; Poorman's Lady has come down to a realistic mark imo and should be competitive from a nice draw; Satin Slipper drawn wide but has potential to improve further in only her 5th start
R4: Assessment Plate where the fillies are again best in, so Anneka needs inclusion with the 4 colts in the betting - hopefully Rockin Russian rusty enough to ignore
R5: Danza stands out with his consistency, and should give a good account again; Full Mast steadily dropping in the handicap and could prove the main danger with the consistent Shogun, but many of the others can't be ignored
R6: Moshav in form, but over the 1000 I think Rebel Renegade will have his measure; Tripod and maiden winner Eastern Healer others to consider
R7: Fillies and Mares handicap; big field - many with chances; my first three would be Florida Quays, Elusive Butterfly and Tricia; followed by Wine Festival, Burindi and Fly North
R8: Boutique won well over the 1200 and the extra trip looks ideal, so worthy favorite imo; experienced campaigners Rings and Things and Kirconnel Lass could take advantage if she does fluff her lines, while the other maiden winners Mistressofmyfate and Just Dance has more to do imo, but can't be completely ignored
Enjoy

LACONIA 2 Runs over the 2400m
1st 2400m VAC 11.20 lengths of poison ivy carrying 57kgs
2nd 2400m TUR 2nd to the winner French leave 1.10 lengths of carrying 56.5kgs was an impressive second run over the 2400m but today carrying 60kgs for the first time over the distance!!
Laconia will get tired by the last 200m
Stephen moffatt has 3 runners
Vida amorosa or I'm the one could dictate the right pace upfront for ONE DOLLAR MASSAGE TO WIN
