This is turning into a huge issue, riders can’t afford insurance ( Insurance companies rightly upped the cost due to dodgy past payouts)

I know the threshold had to recently be lowered to allow a rider to race in KZN

How is Kevin Derere going to pay for insurance if the South African based jockeys get nearly all the rides in Zimbabwe.

Can remember him winning the Germiston November Handicap then a Grade 1 on Grand Format. Also rode in the July. He was no slouch.

....yeah he was above average in his early days....then got too big for his boots.....and no not a weight issue.....:ohmy:

Lance Pagel was the jock that was asked to have R5m worth of insurance a month or so go at Greyville..

Seemingly has a job in sales now
