Race 1 - Crucreek 33/10


Race 3 - Gin Fizz 15/10

Until she learns to settle and not work herself, we will not see the best of her. Threw her chances away last time vs a very impressive Basadi Faith. I'm giving her one more chance here over the sprints as she goes a bit of extra ground.


Race 4 - Frosted Gold 15/10

Very impressive LTO where he was green as grass and still managed to get up on the line. The extra ground will only suit. Big chance.


Race 5 - Mighty High 9/4


High class sprinting filly. She has an amazing turn of foot and taking on the boys will be no problem. Chimichuri run is a favourite of mine and will be right there at the business end but Mighty High has a good chance as any.


Race 6 - Soqrat 11/10


Special, special colt who showed exactly how good he is when going down to Do it Again. There is no question that Rainbow Bridge and Do It Again are the two best horses in the country ATM. (yes, yes Hawwaam can surpass them but he hasn't taken them on yet so 3rd best for now). Anyway, Soqrat split them down the middle in the LQP and showed just how good he is. Last time was just a prep run and it was not a bad 3rd.

I expect the Soqrat that ran in the LQP and if he brings that run to the track, he will win and win by over a length.


Race 7 - Blossom 15/10, Bize 12/1


Blossom ran a cracker LTO and IMO was unlucky not to catch the front two as she was checked at a crucial time. Still a wide draw unfortunately but she is improving all the time and will relish the ground. Hoping she can follow in the footsteps of her illustrious dam here and win the Oaks.

Bize was so impressive LTO on just her second start. Thrown into the deep end here but her potential could be anything.


Race 10 - Tamarina 5/1

Difficult to vind value.............

Lots of action, but I agree not easy to make money as many of the hotties seem hard to beat; thoughts ....

R2: Nothing between Duke of Swing and Stockbridge; Silver Spectrum should improve over the distance; value imo is the filly Gliiter Path who found all sorts of trouble in her last start; Jet Power can still improve

R3: Gin Fizz may be good enough; Me Time good form and looks nice each-way value; Singforafa finding big support so who knows

R4: A bit tougher than the fillies - nothing between the top 4 in the betting and I don't think anything else can feature

R5: Mighty High the obvious one; if she fails anything can win imo; Van Halen the dark horse coming back to the Highveld after disappointing in the Cape

R6: Soqrat's race to lose; Cascapedia and Legal Eagle the logical backups; not a lot between Cascapedia and Al Danza (hampered close to the finish last time)

R7: None of these has gone further than 2000, so surprise possible; Blossom seem most likely, but maybe Second Request could prove a danger over the distance

R8: Hawwaam looks impossible to beat; maybe places on Gift of the Gap could prove the right move

R9: Could be the ruin of many P6 bets; Noble Secret tries further, but does look a worthy favorite; I think the proven stayers Walter Smoothie and Letitrain (big MR drop) could make him run

After this it gets competitive, so I'll probably just watch
