I thought watching the Grand National on the supersport channel was one of the highlights of the year.
The camera work and build up, with interviews was hilarious.
Tiger Roll winning was the cherry on the cake for most punters and it has my vote for sports personality of the year, however it might get snookered by Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Moving on to the flat season overseas, as mentioned before Too Darn Hot should win the 2000 gns and evens is a fair price, if he does go on to win the Derby 11/2 can you imagine the possibility of one of the greatest ARCs of all time ?
Enable, Almond Eye, Sea of Class and Too Darn Hot, the Japanese would come in their thousands and the Eye would start money on with the French tote and the Poms could get a decent price on their fancy.
On the local front the Jockey and Trainer championship is on a knife edge.
My money is on MDK and Lyle.
Much depends on the potential of Hawwaam and where it will line up, the Champion challenge looks on the cards and could we have a MDK trifecta if Soqrat and Cascapedia also show up on the day.
I would personally love Hawwaam to go for the July as I have booked up for my annual trip and it would certainly give us a star studded field with the possibility of a clash with Rainbow Ridge, Do it Again, Barahin, BBC, Soqrat ? Etc.
Need a bit more confirmation but fun and interesting times ahead.

As far as Football ( soccer) as it’s called these days, the Premier is like a ping pong match with City probably holding on from the Pool.
The Champions League another kettle of fish with plenty great clashes to keep us glued to the box.
City 5/2 Barcelona 7/2 Juve 4/1 Pool 9/2 United 25/1 with Spurs AJAX worth a punt at 50/1 and Porto 100/1.

Suggested ATC: is Too Darn Hot for 2000 gns, Hawwaam for champion challenge, Lyle for champion jockey and MDK champion trainer.

Aidan O'Brien believes Ten Sovereigns will have no problem staying a mile after doing well physically through the winter – meaning a showdown with Too Darn Hot in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas is on the cards.

Unlike the dazzling Dewhurst winner, who is set to reappear in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury on Saturday, Ten Sovereigns will head straight to Newmarket without a prep.

That is a tried-and-tested approach from O’Brien, whose nine previous winners of the 2,000 Guineas have all done likewise.

The unbeaten son of No Nay Never, who is 8-1 second favourite behind Too Darn Hot for the first Classic of the season, has never raced beyond six furlongs, with all three of his wins as a juvenile coming over that trip.

Qipco 2,000 Guineas favourite Too Darn Hot will miss his intended prep run for the Newmarket Classic in the Greenham Stakes this weekend.

Trainer John Gosden said on Wednesday evening: "Too Darn Hot breezed comfortably this morning under Frankie Dettori on the Al Bahathri but tonight at evening stables he was found to have some heat in his splint bone.

"Unfortunately he'll have to miss Newbury as he'll have a few easy days. The plan is to take him straight to the Qipco 2,000 Guineas."

Greenham Saturday... exciting! I like the Marcus Tregonning horse at a good price with Crowley up. Always a good race this and then we are into the Craven meeting next week.

This won well. Could be a runner in the Guineas. Now to find the Craven winner this week. Fabre also had a good winner, Persian King today who will be one to follow this season. Exciting times!

Can't wait for the Classic puzzle to unfold in the next week as the Guineas contenders take their chances. Persian King was class today at Longchamp, there were eye-catchers in Saturday's tune-ups at Newbury and this week will be good at HQ.

Whisper from the gallops is that Zakouski is a machine, supposedly one of the best Godolphin have in their string. Nothing can work with it and has been giving carrots to graded winners during work. Will be interesting to see how that goes.

Prince Eiji from Varian's was said to be a promising sort and then didn't quite live up to expectations in two runs after winning on debut last season, curious to see how he's developed.

Interesting that Doyle goes with the Haggas runner as opposed to Hugo Palmer's Set Piece. Another horse that interests me is Global Spectrum, has done absolutely nothing wrong so far

It now has a slighlty open appearance.
I am still in the favs camp and rely on its well being so 5/2 ish is fine
