Then I need to get up and attend. If just for a few days it would be great to fantasize about:
Less crime
Infrastructure that worked
An economy that actually grew
A currency not straight out of a monopoly game set
Politicians who stole in the millions and not the billions
SOE that were functional
and much more

Have they not spent more at Magic millions? sure they have bust the Aus 1m mark a few times
.....sure they have but when you spend an ozzie Bar it is in context and relative to the pricing of their market as other quality lots are mostly in this range......only some chop called Jooste tried to show that he was a big cock and gave the nod on on a 3 bar bid.....and look how well that did......

R9 million is a stupid price for a horse to race in the RSA but not if he is good enough to win in Dubai
or HK at top level
What will be interesting is when later today the minimum bid drops to R50k
I predict that the prices will fall right thru till the end of sale
There will always be a few high prices but lets see

So was the R1.2m for the Frankel a huge loss?

I, myself, thought it was a massive loss. But we don’t know if there was a deal with Klavervlei, seeing as Jooste is connected to the big Europeans.
Correction, I see it wasn’t Klavervlei, so there goes that theory.

....this horse was most likely pin hooked from an Ozz sale .....from his shuttle season there.....the cover fee lower than Northern Hemisphere...sure that he would have been retained by the vendor if he was a total loss....maybe Dave could comment as he seems to be tight with that stud......
