TRAINER COMMENTS :

RACE 1 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

8 / 5 / 2 / 10

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 2 and 5 - ALRIGHT JACK, BLACK KNIGHT & LUCIO : Both Alright Jack and Black Knight showed improved runs on the Poly last time out, so further improvement is expected and they have plac e chances. Lucio ran a fair race on debut and should be there in the mix.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 8 and 10 - SIR CALEB & LITTLE RED STAR : Sir Caleb will be right there. Little Red Star is a small, pacey filly.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 6 - NEWS ALERT : He is expected to be very green.

RACE 2 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

9 / 11 / 5 / 3

• GRANT PADDOCK - Number 5 - GREY MISSILE : She has decent form and though she may prefer a touch further and she bumps a slightly stronger line up than her last I am hoping she can hold form.

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 11 - PLACE DU MARCHE : She raced green on debut, slow away and running in snatches, we do believe she is capable of better.

MONTANNA TURNER (GEORGE UREN) - Number 10 - LAW AND ORDER : She has been unlucky, she is better than her form and working well, but she could need this.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 6 - HALLO ROSIE & SPORT CHIC : Hallo Rosie is always thereabouts. Sport Chic has a place chance.

RACE 3 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

1 / 8 / 5 / 2

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 3 - CASEY JAY & NOBLE LEADER : On his last run Casey Jay will be right there. Noble Leader improved in his last, but might find this a bit short.

• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 5 - FERRARI’S MOON : He is looking well and an improved run is expected.

MONTANNA TURNER (GEORGE UREN) - Numbers 2 and 7 - GIVE ME DYNAMITE & OHSOBRIGHT : Give me Dynamite is new to the yard, we are hoping for improvement. Ohsobright is better than her form, but can’t be relied upon.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - ELUSIVE THUNDER : Hoping for improvement.

RACE 4 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

4 / 8 / 6 / 3

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 4 - DYNASTY’S BOY : He has done his best over these shorter trips on the Poly and has an each way chance.

• GRANT PADDOCK - Number 8 - BAKKIES : He is back to 1300m and has a place chance.

MONTANNA TURNER (GEORGE UREN) - Number 10 - ESS EL KAY : He is working well and we’re hoping for improvement.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 11 and 13 - JADEED & ARMSTRONG’S BOY : Hoping for improvement from Armstrong’s Boy. Jadeed ran a fair post maiden in his last and can place.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5, 6 and 9 - SHINE LIKE A STAR, EMERITO & MASTER NEWTON : Shine like a Star has his first back from a break, he could place though. Emerito is holding form. Master Newton has a place chance.

RACE 5 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

5 / 3 / 1 / 4

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 4, 5 and 8 - MAPLE SYRUP, CLIFTON BEACH, SUN UP & ZANZIBAR BEAT : Maple Syrup and Clifton Beach ran on well to win in their last starts against similar and can earn again. Sun Up ran well in her post maiden and is holding form, she has a winning chance. Zanzibar Beat has lost form but is capable of better.

• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 3 - FLAME OF FIRE : She ran a great race in her last and I’m hoping for a repeat.

SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - ANGEL JOLEE : She has her post maiden run so is up in class but she does her best on the Poly.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 6 - LOVE TALK & PACIFISTA : Love Talk enjoys track and trip and should be thererabouts. Pacifista needed her first and improvement is expected.

RACE 6 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

1 / 2 / 4 / 7

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 2 - SOLEMN PROMISE & FOOLS GARDEN : Solemn Promise has a winning chance down in class. Fools Garden also took on stronger on Friday, she didn’t disgrace herself and can earn.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 7, 8 and 10 - BRING ME MORE, ANGIOLETTA, FANFARE & GREEN SEA : Bring me More is drawn wide, hoping she can place. Angioletta and Green Sea have their first runs back from a break but they could place. Fanfare may still need this.
MONTANNA TURNER (GEORGE UREN) - Numbers 3 and 6 - VANILLA ORCHID & RIVER DELTA : Vanilla Orchid is working well and will enjoy the extra, we do think the Poly will suit. River Delta needed her last, she tries the Poly again.

RACE 7 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

1 / 5 / 4 / 9

• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 1 - MAHIR : He wasn’t disgraced in his last, he is consistent and should be there again.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 5, 6 and 8 - THE GOON SHOW, CHIEF BLACK HORSE & GREAT CRUSADE : The Goon Show is holding form and always has a chance. Chief Black Horse and Great Crusade have their post maiden starts so are up in class, but they could have placed potential.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3 and 9 - GOLDEN SHAMROCK, ROSSLYN CHAPEL & WHITELEAF HILLS : Golden Shamrock enjoys track and trip, he has a quartet chance. Rosslyn Chapel ran a good race in his last and should be thereabouts. Whiteleaf Hills also ran a good race last time out and similar is expected again.

GRANT PADDOCK - Numbers 4 and 7 - STRONG ‘N BRAVE & KEANAN’S ROCK : Strong ‘n Brave will run a very good race, the racing tactics did in his last didn’t suit and you can draw a line through it. Hoping for improvement from Keanan’s Rock.

RACE 8 :

FIRST FOUR SELECTIONS :

4 / 10 / 3 / 2
• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 2 and 3 - DATA LINK & SEATTLE SOUND : Data Link won her last well, she always tries. Seattle Sound’s draw is a concern, but she is a runner going for her hat trick.

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 4 and 12 - EPIC STORM & KAZURI : Epic Storm ran a decent race against stronger in her last and it was a good effort especially as a post maiden run, she has a winning chance. Kazuri is better than her last and possibly did not enjoy the yielding going that day, better is expected from her.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 6 - INGA : She never raised a gallop in her last in heavy going on the turf and an improved run is expected.

MONTANNA TURNER (GEORGE UREN) - Numbers 11 and 13 - BLUE SAGE & JOKING DICE : We are hoping for a good run from Blue Sage. Joking Dice always tries.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 5, 7 and 9 - CLOSE TO MY HEART,ARIKARA, COWGIRLINTHESAND & LATERAL’S FLASH : Close to my Heart has her first back off and break and could need. Arikara enjoys the surface and has a place chance. Cowgirlinthesand could manage the back end of quartets. Lateral’s Flash could need, maybe a place chance.

R1 found it hard to split BLACK KNIGHT and ALRIGHT JACK for the place, but edged towards BLACK KNIGHT E/W 14/1 and 12/1 for a top 4 finish on BET365 EACHWAY EXTRA

R2 LAW AND ORDER 50/1 E/W but ill be backing on BET 365 EACHWAY EXTRA for a top 6 finish at 28/1
POLLYMANIA also in with a shout for a top 6 finish at the same prices

R3 OHSOBRIGHT is 33/1 but is worthy of a E/W at 28/1 for a top four finish on EACHWAY EXTRA
