"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Tuesday 29 July Workings.

Afternoon.

This afternoon's session completed and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.69 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a battle, so a good leave......

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.44, and with being around 2.52 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.44 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 6.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.16 (3.15 nearest exchange price. The price was around 3.4 on arrival and then dropped down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 3.15 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.45 (was 3.6 before reductions) and so a chance for traders (only them playing) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade went and won after looking in trouble, so the way it goes but glad of the 'free' lay now and no damage done......

The 4th and final runner we wanted 3.2, but a non runner and 17.2% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.82. The price was around 2.62 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.62 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........

WELL PLAYED........

'Rolling' strategy/target players (4 runner only and no 'free' lays for them as always) see the first runner go by without any play, so that left them with an insufficient amount left to start a strategy, so they leave it here.

'Bank builder' (4 runner only) strategy/target also had to avoid the afternoon with being left with an insufficient amount to work with.

'Traders' either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they did well and got the money.

So no play for strategists and they look to this evening, but they will not mind with 2 from the 4 winning, so good enough and speak soon with this evening's workings.

Morning.

Well done yesterday guys, as although I don't know the ins and outs, I gather it was a good day, so well played.

This afternoon's workings, as follows:

2.50 Goodwood. CONDUIT (1.69)

Our price 8/11 (1.727) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.5, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

3.30 Goodwood. INFALLIBLE (2.66)

Our price 7/4 (2.75) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.44, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.20 Beverley. TRIP THE LIGHT (3.65)

Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.3, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.55 Beverley. STEEL CUT (3.3)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.2, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 09.31am.

That's all we have to work around for this afternoon then, and with just the four it means no play for five runner builders and rollers. Four runner players will take their satchels along, but firstly need to get off to a start and then obviously it has to be a good one. So tough from that perspective, but we have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
