On his July run he will give the others a good run. Greyville specialist and deserves a win of this magnitude.
I dont want to jinx his chances like I did with Buy and sell in the July so I will say he must have a good chance and will be shouting him home in front of a tv at a mates 30th birthday. Unfortunately. Would prefer to have been there.
For some reason the "experts" all seem to over look Links. Todays Mercury (the Racegoer) had very little to say about him even though he is the current favourite. Strange to say the least.
I hope he wins. Thankfully Buy and Sell repayed every cent I spent on the July including tickets and petrol to DBN from Margate 3 times Gallops, Pick up tickets and go to the July.
Good luck Puffin - looks like you could have a really good weekend. Some nice runners in the Cape on Sunday - Will be getting the dbls and trebls on.

Al- I agree de Kock/ Laird battle to the finish.
My only concern is that Uber Rock had a 7 month lay off.

Puffin - thats pretty much what the racegoer had to say. When Paul told me that he was entered in the July I was quite suprised as I've always felt that he best would have a massive chance in the Gold Cup. He more than proved his worth at the July and again I am sure that he will be finishing strongly. Do you think the weights will be an issue here or not?
Good luck to you, Paul the other connections, Basil and Greg. Hope you have a succesful day.

Over the marathon distance the weights will play a role, luckily he wasnt penalised for his july run....needs to have a bit in the tank for the home straight.Couple of horses going over 3000m for the first time so could be an upset result as well..very open race but he's fit and well.Master of Note more of a true staying type, maybe have a small swinger?
