The inaugural Daily News Durban Prawn Festival will be launched at Greyville Race Course on Saturday, June 1, as Gold Circle and the Daily News celebrate the 2019 running of the R2-million Gr1 Daily News 2000.

Entry to Greyville is free and gates open to the City track at 10.30am.

Patrons will be able to purchase 12 Queen Prawns plus chips or rice and all the sauces for just R125.

It’s a bumper day out for the whole family with both the Braaizone and Kidszone open to ensure that there is lots for everyone to do and eat!!

To cap it all, South Africa’s champion three-year-old colt Hawaam, will make his KZN debut in pursuit of the R2-million prize money on offer in the Daily News 2000.

Was a pleasant day out and a mate won a voucher in the win if u lose comp so he was thrilled, atmosphere of previous daily news is long gone but sign of the times I guess

Those prawns were very old and had been frozen for a very long time. Can't say i enjoyed it to be honest, won't do it again.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
