SCOTIA ON THE WEEKEND.
17 years 3 weeks ago
Good morning to the CLAN and looking forward to a good weekend after a heavy week.
My mind has been busy this week with various ideas to take the site forward and thanks again for the valued inputs.
I must say I have really enjoyed Glorious Goodwood and what about Johnny Murtagh and Obrien's fantastic run. I am sure you could say that Murtagh has been riding the best horses, but I feel his jockeyship has been superb. If we consider in less than a week, he has won the King George, Sussex Stakes and the Goodwood Gold Cup, not to mention the other races.
In money terms we are looking at Duke of Marmalade, Henrythenavigator and Yeats [what a stayer, 3 Ascot Gold Cups and a second Goodwood Gold Cup] 480,000 +170,000 + 56,000 GBP in a week, over R10 Million, and plenty Zim dollars.
We still have a couple of days of Goodwood and the Richmond Stakes today and why not take a chance on Waffle only unbeaten horse in the race with "Murtagh" aboard at 6/1? plus he is riding Sixties Icon.
On Sat we have the Nassau Stakes and Lush Lashes is the selection.
Also well done to MDK for a brilliant season, locally and overseas.
Difficult races from Greyville and the Gold Cup wide open, where Floatyourboat is the e.w. selection.
I have a 50th party on Saturday, [the concerned milkman], I remember in his soccer days, he was the first energy saving player, the crowd would shout "I have seen milk turning quicker,Georgie". The function has a racehorse theme, sure it will be a great night.
On Sunday, its off to the big T and will have a look at the card later.
Good punting and may your God be with you.
