Just had a message saying that they don’t know if it’s closing but huge changes coming.

Had a separate message saying two big Kimb trainers have applied for Vaal boxes

And another has applied for KZN boxes

The main concern would be the animal..hundreds of horses would have to find a new home or be put out..this will not go down well with animal lovers.

Kimberley trainers at the Sales today say they have heard nothing about Kimb closing

They think it’s a tall tale

So many stories...
1)Yes, Grant Maroun has already moved to Vaal.
2)Close Kimberley... and what about CT small fields ?
3)Another rumour is that CT (Kenilworth Racing) owes Racing Trust R200M and can't pay, are bankrupt...
4)Another rumour is that Phum owe GC.
5)Another rumour is that GC are closing Ashburton.
6)Another rumour is that Phum will cut stakes by 20 percent.
7)Another rumour is that Durbanville is closing and that CT will only race once weekly, at Kenilworth.

The only rumours NOT doing the rounds, are positive ones. Some of these would be a nice change.
One thing is for sure - all of those rumours cannot be correct. If they were, we would be closed already.

After a hard working but very rewarding week at Sales, my thanks to all of the Racing stalwarts, Breeders, Owners and Trainers. It was great to spend time with them and their absolute love of the magnificent thoroughbred racehorse, has been wonderful to share.

Let's hope and pray that we get through these tough times.

Thank you LG and i am sure many want to be positive as much money and many jobs are at stake in this massive industry.

Just checking this site, we have 30 posts on page one
Its a moving target but at the time of posting we have approx 21 that could be regarded as positive/informative( football, rugby, horseracing, tips, naps etc)
Another 9 also informative and possibly negative but well thought through by the posters and really expecting some response.

The problem is with all these potential rumours, they could all be eradicate or confirmed with a transparent reply.

The recent feedbacks and inputs from the chosen "racing people / the elete" have been long worded and say actually nothing to stop or confirm the rumours.

I asked on a previous thread that surely just a copy of the attendees and minutes of the meeting/s would have been adequate to inform the many supporters of racing that we are in good hands and heading in the right direction?

I am now "waffling" on but would have to say on a positive side that i felt the sales were higher than i anticipated.
The Summer Cup launch gave the impression that everyone happy and positive?
Mixed feedback re: awards I personally felt CVN speech was asking for unity ( but again not sure of all the big political power struggles behind the words) ?

TRANSPARENCY would help

Good Punting
