Just a bit of background on owning/breeding horses.
I am sure many have given it a go but just an update on our experience.
When Miss Diana stopped racing we decided to take her to Rathmor Stud and we had her covered by Noble Tune.
The result was a good looking colt who was fine one day and dead the very next? Very sad and a possible heart attack was the cause? A real blow to the syndicate.
Miss D was covered again and we had Noble Diana a smallish filly that has had her problems and set backs but after approximately 4 years its time to start racing with the syndicate again.
She has shown nothing special and had a poor barrier trial and hit a brick wall after a good start.
We found the reason and we are hopeful for a decent performance and yes i will have an ew bet ( this is something i have always done on every horse i have ever owned) from Mucho Hombre with Robert Maroun (Buddies father) to todays date.
We also have a second baby named Humble Tune ( named after a good friend and talented musician , Humble Mike, who passed away the week the big robust colt was born). He will go into training over the next few months.
Miss D missed a season and is now in foal and due in October.
So all going well we will have 3 runners all by Noble Tune and Miss Diana.
You dont want to see a balance sheet for outlay vs income ( although income easy to calculate).
We are here for the fun, social experience and hopefully some return on our long term outlays.
To syndicate members: thanks for hanging in, to stud farm: thanks to Mike and Tanya for really looking after our horses in a superb setting.
Plus recently joining louis Goosen and his very professional training expertise and hopefully some good times ahead after a lenghty start up in our introduction into breeding.
Good punting

I Might also add that the breeding suggests more ground could also help.
I am happy that the talented, well spoken Eric Ngwane is our jockey as he knows the filly and rides the work in the morning.
