TRAINER COMMENTS :

RACE 1 :

1st four selections

7 / 6 / 4 / 2

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 7 - TIBETAN SUNRISE : She has a winning chance.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3, 5 and 6 - CABALLE, LITTLE RED STAR,
RUSSIAN LADY & SISTER LEE : Caballe is improving all the time and has
a place chance. Little Red Star is always thereabouts and has a
quartet chance. Improvement is expected from Russian Lady. Sister Lee
should be right there.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - ORLANDA : This should be sharp for her,
but she’s drawn best of all and lines up to take her chances in a
small field.

RACE 2 :

1st four selections

4 / 3 / 1 / 2

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 1 - KATASHA : She is a really pacey filly
and does have a chance.

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 4 - FREEDOM FLASHING & BLACK GARDENIA
: Both fillies are new to the yard and new to Poly, but they are
expected to enjoy the surface and will run well. They both have
chances.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 5 - HALLO ROSIE & AERIAL MATERIAL :
Hallo Rosie has a place chance. Aerial Material is improving but may
still need the experience.

RACE 3 :

1st four selections

2 / 5 / 1 / 6

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 2 - ROCKS AND DAGGERS & BENEVOLENCE :
Rocks and Daggers ran a good last and he is expected to be right there
again. Benevolence has his first run for the yard and on Poly, he is
working well and can be thereabouts.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 6 - PROFOUND : She is against the boys
again, but has a decent draw, is in a small field and ran a good race
in her last. An honest filly, she can be there again.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 4 - TIBETAN ROUGE : Hoping for improvement.

RACE 4 :

1st four selections

2 / 3 / 4 / 1

• MONTANA TURNER - Number 2 - SUZIE MAYWEATHER : She ran on well on
her one start on Poly so far and I do think she enjoys the surface,
the only drawback being that the home straight is shorter than on
grass and we are going to change up the riding tactics to compensate.
She also tries blinkers and has a decent chance.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3, 8 and 9 - ROSIE, PIPER CUB & PINKY PIE :
Rosie will be thereabouts. Hoping for improvement from both Piper Cub
and Pinky Pie.

SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 5 and 10 - EASY BY FAR & MISS INN IN ACTION
: Easy by Far should enjoy the trip and we are expecting improvement.
Hoping for improvement from Miss Inn in Action.

ALAN GREEFF - Number 7 - JELLICOE AVENUE : Hoping for improvement.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1 and 6 - SETTLEMENT DAY & CONVENTION :
Settlement Day is better over this trip and can earn. Convention can
run into the money.

RACE 5 :

1st four selections

4 / 1 / 2 / 7

• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 1, 2 and 9 - SEEKING WISDOM, JUST MY
STYLE & SEATTLE SOUND : Seeking Wisdom is top weight here but she is
really honest and can run well. Just my Style won her last very well,
we are hoping she can follow up. She does look to be at her very best
on grass, but in good form she can’t be dismissed. Seattle Sound loves
this trip, but could just need it.

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 4 and 6 - PERFECTPROPORTIONS & SILVER WILLOW
: Perfectproportions is in good form and has a winning chance. Hoping
for improvement Silver Willow.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5 and 8 - ROCKSETTE & STEADY WAY : Rocksette
is better over this trip. Steady Way has her first run for the yard
and on the Poly, she is working well but takes on strong company.

RACE 6 :

1st four selections

2 / 3 / 1 / 9

• JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1, 2, 11 and 15 - CAPE LEOPARD, TITUS,
PACHUCO & OMAHA TRIBE : Cape Leopard is in good from and should be
there again. Titus is also running very well of recent and has a
chance here. Hoping for improvement from Pachuco. Omaha Tribe is
coming to hand and is expected to enjoy the extra.

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 3 - DALLEY : She will enjoy this trip and can
be competitive.

SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 4 and 12 - DATA LINK & CRUISE CRUZ : Ignore
Data Link’s last run for obvious reasons, she is generally always
thereabouts and versatile on surfaces, is a runner. Cruise Cruz should
be distance suited here, he ran a nice last but the draw is a concern.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5, 7, 9 and 14 - ROSSLYN CHAPEL, PEKING TYSON,
WHITELEAF HILLS & COLONEL BOGEY : Rosslyn Chapel is in the right field
to have a chance. Peking Tyson and Colonel Bogey tries further.
Whiteleaf Hills has fair form and should be thereabouts.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 6 - AWAKENING : Trying the trip, improvement
is expected.

TARA LAING - Number 13 - FUJIIN : He needed his last and has a place chance.

RACE 7 :

1st four selections

1 / 3 / 6 / 7

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3, 9 and 10 - JIKA, FALCON ROCK & DYNASTY’S
BOY : Jika is in good form and has a winning chance. Falcon Rock is up
in class but loves the Poly. Dynasty’s Boy is at his best on Poly and
is better than his last.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 6 - LETS PLAY BALL : He is very honest and
will be better suited to the 1300m here. He will be competitive.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 8 - SAO PAULO : She takes on the boys but
finally cracks a draw. It is a strong field but she loves the Poly and
could manage the back end of quartets.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 11 - READY SET GO : She pulled too hard in
her last. She has no weight on her back, will try different racing
tactics and can get closer.

GAVIN SMITH - Number 2 - AMAZON KING : He tries a touch further and
I do think he will enjoy it, he is always knocking.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - BORDER CONTROL : This is still a touch
sharp but he has a quartet chance.

RACE 8 :

1st four selections

2 / 3 / 14 / 5

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2 and 6 - MAPLE SYRUP & FAIRYINTHEMIST :
Maple Syrup is always thereabouts and has a chance at the win.
Fairyinthemist enjoys the Poly and could place.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3, 11, 13 and 15 - LOVE TALK, DUKE OF
HAZARD, MASTER NEWTON & CASEY JAY : Love Talk is working well, she
will be disadvantaged by the draw and taking on the boys, but she can
be there. Duke of Hazard ran a fair last, he is more effective over
this trip. Master Newton is also better over the mile. Casey Jay won
his maiden well, he is up in class, but not out of it.

SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 4 and 7 - VALENTINE’S GIRL & LETS BE FRANK :
Valentine’s Girl ran a very good last. She has been a bit
unpredictable of late, but if she puts in another solid effort she can
be there. Hoping for improvement from Lets be Frank.

MONTANA TURNER - Number 9 - GRAVITATION : He ran a fair post maiden
in his last, is ideally looking for further, but always tries.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 14 - ROCK THE COT : He races off a strong
formline, is working very well and has an eachway chance.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1, 12, 16 and 17 - MAHIR, MASTER DESIGN,
HONEY SUITE & GOTOLUVHER : Mahir could need this and it is on the
sharp side for him, perhaps a place chance at best. Hoping for
improvement from Master Design. Honey Suite has fair form and a place
chance. Gotoluvher’s wide draw is a concern.

The SB Kotzen pony in race five named Seeking Wisdom showed a good deal of improvement penultimate...then got the grass and perhaps needed a bit more time for today's race. An MR 84 winner with 2.2 lengths...2 months ago. Damn that shouts lovely outsider to me in this, considering the rest has more recent dates in much weaker races... Just some thoughts and I took a little nibble earlier.
