In no order of preference :-
Race 4, must say if Vetri Vel jumps on terms, from a decent draw could keep rolling over the 2000m.
In race 5, have a look at Jameson Girl, any price. I make this a runner, they were betting 4/1 the field before the scratching, so that says a lot. Don’t think this is a punting stable (I could be wrong), however I wouldn’t be put off having a punt even if it drifts in the betting, put Lerena up, and the horse could be trading in single figures.
Race 6, could see the Dawson stable pull off a double, should the one above arrive in the 5th, with Captain’s Alpha. Unbeaten in 2, course and distance since the blinkers have been fitted. This is not the most inspiring bunch he tackles, so worth a go at the price.
This is a very difficult card with low merit races on offer, so I’m not overly confident, but I’ll take my chances.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Hi Sylvester, ive got a share of GOLDEN TUNE in the 1st. With David N. I cant say much - he is quoted @ 25 / 1 so that about sums it up. Would be nice if can make the quartet....only positive i can give is that Ryan had a winner for me in these colours about 6 weeks ago in P.E. so hoping lightning can strike again.
I will be on course having a go at that P6.
Good punting guys an gals

The pick 6 does look easier than July day however certainly not cut and dry, just trying to take the correct banker is the challenge?

Break a leg

Bread & Butter racing with 5 Maiden Plates and 3 MR 74 and 1 MR 73 handicap - and some of the MP even seem a bit difficult - thoughts:
R1: A good draw is a big help this track and trip, so I'm in the corner of Gunner Runner, who had a very good penultimate run and in his last was drawn widest over 1200 at the Vaal Classic; exacta with Rooi Tom and Kalgoorlie and hopefully Golden Tune can make the quartet pay
R2: African Rock looks a bit of pointer in a weak field from Movie Magic
R3: Does not seem to be the strongest maiden field, but Readysetglo ran an odds-on favorite to half a length so is my first choice from a great draw; Gallic Princess improved last time and still has lots of scope to improve, so may give my selection something to think about; the rest seem much of a muchness
R4: Competitive Maiden Plate where many of the runners seem closely matched; draws maybe not that significant over the distance, so imo at least Maroon Bells (best horse in the race), Gold Griffin (improved in last start with blinkers), Byron Bay (ignore last), Dry Your Eyes (overdue imo), Vetri Vel (obvious inclusion with Gavin) and Turf Master (blinker strike and best value at the odds) need inclusion in the P6 and perhaps Royal Siege can also improve over the trip
R5: First of the handicaps and none are out at the weights; my first 3 would be Seattle Tango (in form and obvious choice), Moss Gas (at best this track and has won 2 from 4 from starts this track an trip); Starlighttemptress (also likes this course); next best Celestina and Kentucky Blue
R6: MR 74 for the males; this looks very difficult and many of the runners could benefit from big drops in the ratings (Purple Diamond and VIne Street Star as many as 27 points from their highest achieved ratings) so anything possible imo; Vine Street Star ran a fair race over this track and trip last time and got dropped another 5 points, so worth including imo with Dread the Dragon, who is only 0.5 kgs out with the allowance, and is probably going to play 'catch me if you can'; others like Purple Diamond, Big Voice Jack (wide draw), Brightnumberten (24 point drop but may prefer 1000) and Captain's Alpha (obvious inclusion on form) can't be ignored, while Lone Survivor is also a winner this track and trip and may run them all out of it if the pace is on
R7: Got to take a stand somewhere and I fancy The Makwakkers a bit; has given me the impression that he is looking for this trip; main danger is March To Glory (on straight form should sill hold my selection, but is drawn a bit wide); if those 2 fail, anything can happen and even Peace Call Me (ran in the Egoli Mile and has come down 10 points since) must rate some sort of a chance
R8: Back to a Maiden Fillies over 2000, looking at the form, Extravert seems ready to win if she gets the 2000, value imo lies with Vijeta (needs to jump to take advantage of her good draw) and Await the Sunset, but again only a few of them seem to have no chance (even Our Biscuit finished in front of Favourite Model on occasion)
R9: Tough end; Rabia the Rebel has found form and fought back to beat Elusive Butterfly going away after looking beat last time, and is better off at the weights, so has to be included; EB obvious chance, but imo had every chance last time, so may not find the extra 200m as an advantage; dark horse imo is Angelic Appeal who has 2 wins from 5 tries this track and trip, but may just be a little high in the ratings; many others with chances, but at least numbers 11 thru 14 can be safely ignored imo
Enjoy
