Afternoon.
This afternoon completed and went as follows:
The 1st runner we wanted 3.1, and with getting around 3.0/3.1 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The runner was then withdrawn and so money back and on to the next runner....
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.46, but a non runner and 11.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.41. The price was around 1.39 on arrival and so we had a lay at 1.39. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 2.38 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.38. The lay was beaten and so a good result......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 10.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.52. The price was a well supported 2.26 on arrival and shortening, so we had a lay at 2.26 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 3.1. The lay went and won and so the way it goes. Traders again got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......
The 6th runner we wanted 3.5, and with being around 3.3 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.3. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.6 and beyond, then back in again, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders and remaining builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so yet another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' lay now though......
The 7th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.84 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.84. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite goes in and the way it goes........
The 8th and final runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.4 on arrival and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay went and won, so that completed a day to forget for layers. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
WELL BATTLED.......................(6 from the first 7 (85.7%) went and won (1 Nr) and so ultra tough and nothing we could do to fight back today)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) had to concede 4 targets.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a dour battle, they couldn't fight back against far too many winners and suffered a 4 target loss after their 5th and final lay (the 6th runner).....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 1.39, but a poor result see them go a little behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.38 and a good result see them back level..........They then had their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.26 max, but a poor result see them go behind again.........They then had their 4th lay (the 5th runner) at 3.1, but another poor result see 4 runner builders concede 3.9 targets at worst on the session.....
5 runner builders played on and had a 'free' lay (the 6th runner) that bought sheer relief only.........They then had their 5th and final lay (the 7th runner) at 2.84, but a poor result see them go down 4 targets on the session....

'Traders' had to concede a little on the 7th runner at 2.84 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, but with so many winners they had to concede a little this afternoon and so the way it goes....
So not a good day, but nothing we could do more around all those winners and so we take it as 'one of those days' and deal with it. Back tomorrow morning and hoping for the favourite's to relent a little. Have a good evening and speak in the morning..
Marc.

Morning.
Workings for today's session, as follows:
2.00 Market Rasen. LIBERTY SEEKER (3.0)

2.30 Market Rasen. SOUTHERN REGENT (1.48)
Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.46, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a little more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under. *Traders be aware that he has shown a tendency to lead, or race prominently in his races*
*Please note that 'Imperial Skylight' was withdrawn at 11.33am 'yesterday' and 'Scenic Pass' at 11.35am 'yesterday' and so are of no significance to us, therefore please ignore*
2.50 Chester. RED BARON DANCER (2.56)
Our price 21/10 (3.1) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.8 or under. *Traders be aware, that although lightly raced, he has shown he can lead his races, so no surprise to see the same again this afternoon*
3.00 Market Rasen. WINTER STAR (2.96)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Traders be aware that, although he has a few ways of running, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a prominent display this afternoon*
4.20 Newbury. MISS ROCHESTER (3.4)
Our price 14/5 (3.
and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under.
5.00 Chester. BOWDER STONE (2.9)
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.
5.10 Market Rasen. EIGHTEENFIFTY (2.64)
Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 10.21am.
That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Tricky and testing as always, but we have enough about us to warrant taking the satchels along and trying to make a bit, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon.
