*TRAINER COMMENTS *:
*RACE 1* :
1st four selections
6 / 1 / 4 / 7
• JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1 and 3 - QUEEN NITOCRIS & TORAN’S GIRL :
Queen Nitocris should find this sharp, perhaps a place chance. Toran’s Girl
races off a break and could need the outing.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 6 and 11 - HALLO ROSIE, FASHION FORCE &
RUSSIAN LADY : Hallo Rosie is consistent of late and can place. Fashion
Force is always thereabouts. Russian Lady is expected to improve.
*RACE 2* :
1st four selections
4 / 6 / 2 / 3
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 4 and 7 - ANDREA, COVE FORT & SKYDANCER :
Andrea and Skydancer have place chances in a small field. Cove Fort has a
winning chance.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 6 - BOLD LINNGARI & PARAHELIO ALLEY : Bold
Linngari showed good improvement in his last and similar again is hoped
for. Parahelio Alley posted a fair debut and though he is ideally looking
for further, improvement is expected.
*RACE 3* :
1st four selections
1 / 6 / 2 / 14
• MONTANA TURNER - Number 1 - SUZIE MAYWEATHER : The blinkers are off and
back to her favoured surface, turf with the long home straight, she is
better suited and can improve.
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 6 - IN THE SKY : She will appreciate being back in
trip and back on grass and she should improve.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 9 and 10 - RED FOREST & MONTREUX : Hoping for
improvement from both.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 2 and 4 - ELUSIVE GREEN & PROFOUND : Elusive
Green is fit and well, she is drawn a bit wide but is in good form and she
has a chance here. Profound loves the mile but may be better on Poly.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 3 - WINTER ORCHID : She could prefer 1400m but
she will run well.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5 and 14 - GINGER ROCK & NEVERTHELESS : Ginger Rock
can place. Nevertheless is consistent and the light weight will help.
*RACE 4* :
1st four selections
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 2 - BENEVOLENCE & CONQUERING KING :
Benevolence ran a fair local debut and can earn again. Conquering King is
trying so hard, his day will come.
• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 7 - CONVENTION : She placed in her last and
can do so again.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 3 - TOM TOM : He has his first run for the yard
and is bred for the trip.
*RACE 5* :

*RACE 6* :
1st four selections
5 / 10 / 1 / 12
• TARA LAING - Numbers 3 and 5 - FAKE NEWS & LEADMAN : Fake News has
been a little disappointing, but has needed his last few runs and we are
expecting a much better run. Leadman has a bad draw, but he will be tucking
in and running on anyway and he must have a good chance.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4 and 7 - EXCLUSIVITY & SUNDAY FALLS : Exclusivity
needed her last and may still need this, perhaps the back end of quartets.
• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 10 and 14 - MARGOT FONTEYN & MYSTIC JOURNEY :
Margot Fonteyn goes for the hat trick. The draw is a concern but she is
definitely in with shout. Mystic Journey was too far back in her last and
can improve.
CANDICE BASS-ROBINSON - Number 11 - HOPEFUL : She’s battle in KZN on the
right hand bend so I am hoping she takes to PE’s right hand turn, as
lightly weighted you could find the frame.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 13 - NINJINSKY’S SON : He is drawn well and
lightly weighted so I am hoping for improvement.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 6 and 15 - THE CAT & TORIO LAKE : Hoping for
improvement from The Cat. Torio Lake showed improvement in his last, he is
well but the mile is a question.
ALAN GREEFF - Number 8 - THREE TIMES A LADY : She is back on grass and
down in the ratings so improvement is expected.
*RACE 7* :

*RACE 8* :
1st four selections
10 / 4 / 2 / 3
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3, 4, 7 and 9 - SEATTLE OAK, ELLE VA &
STOPTHINKINGOFME & ALOYSIUS : Seattle Oak prefers Poly but can earn. Elle
Va has a winning chance. Stopthinkingofme is consistent and must always be
considered for quartets. Aloysius is better than his last.
•TARA LAING - Numbers 10 and 13 - DI ME & ADRIANO’S TRIUMPH : Di Me is
very consistent and is always in with a big shout. Adriano’s Triumph was
unlucky in his last where he was baulked for a run late and he will run
better here.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 12 - STRAWBERRY GIRL : She loves 1000m but does
bump a competitive field.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 14 and 17 - BOUNTIFUL STRENGTH & MBALI :
Bountiful Strength debuts in PE, she races off a break and could need this.
Mbali also starts locally fot the first time, she is very quick and can
improve.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 8 - ALAMITO BAY : He has been very consistent of
late and can be thereabouts again.
