SCOTIA AFTER THE WEEKEND.

Good morning to the CLAN and hope you all had a good weekend.

Have a pleasant day at the big T yesterday, but did better with the overseas races than local.

The box should be complete this week, but I see we have Woman's day on the 9th August at the big T, where they are giving prizes for the best hat, will try and post a few photos of the Greeks party on Saturday night where we had a few crackers, not sure if I mentioned that the function had a "day at the races" theme.

As normal racing today is rather flat, except the jump meeting.

So looking at the ante-post markets I see Zarkava has shortened again for the ARC, well don't say I did not tell you.
The York/Ebor meeting is in the middle of August and the International Stakes should go to the Obrien/Murtagh all conquering team with Duke of Marmalade and we hope for a big run from National Colour [20/1] in the Nunthorpe.

The big event this week is the Olympics and looking forward to some great competition.

On the subject of competitions. I see Wiseowl has hit the front again on the blackpearl tipping log, come chaps how can we let a lady show us how to pick winners?

Back to the Games, most medals China 9/10 and the States 12/10, plus most Gold, China are as short as 4/10 and the Yanks 5/2.

The big one is the 100mt mens Bolt 16/10, 5/2 Gay 5/2 Powell, plus Bolt has the 200mt at his mercy and will be a short money-on shot.
Dayron Robles and Xiang Liu should fight out the 110mt hurdles and Bakele is a cert for the 10,000mt, Wariner is always hard to beat over the 400mt and in the hurdle equivalent Kerron Clemant is the selection.

Have a few meetings this week in connection with the best way forward for the site and thanks again for all your support.

Good punting and may your God be with you.
