It is so rewarding to see the youngster working so hard against all the odds. He has dealt with his problems , done his suspension ,and is working hard to get few chances he has. Paul peter has given him work riding opportunities to get back in saddle and reach riding fitness. Joe soma in his acceptance speech a week or 2 back said everyone needs a break , and it is a pleasure to give Chad and his mate Alfie a chance. Chad repaid him with great ride yesterday to win. I like to support those that really try and I am sure as Chad gets more and more rides he will be more consistent.i am sure he realizes he must earn the good rides but thank goodness to those trainers who have sum compassion in a tough sport. These journey jocks need all support they can get.

Yes sir. I know the extend he is trying. He has long way to go but he has started and to me that's step 1. Odds are against him but I really hope he gets support and not negative stuff I am accustomed to seeing. I am silently in his corner urging him on - I know challenges he is facing ( been there with family ) but no excuses . Chad keep going and believe young man.
Indeed it is a sad state of affairs however addiction is a disease that many cannot kick. In Chad's case the sad thing is that he does not appear to be utilising the chances he is being given.
Shame, this is really sad. Chad was a good kid and such a talent. Rode so well for me many times, loved working with him. He knows his stuff. I hope he can over come this. The old man Chris Snaith and Joey Ramsden seemed to be really good dealing with guys like this. I hope he can over come it and maybe come right. It hurts me knowing he is struggling. Strongs mate!
