... which one, Field Marshal or Percy?

Nice sunny day, not much wind, might be a bit of a tailwind later, going still heavy.
Race 1: If Al Bragga is as good as his siblings and ready for this then he could do it. A couple of other first timers to be considered. Not much between 1,2,4,8 which have run, so a tricky start to the bipot.
Race 2: Snaith has a very strong hand with Lilac Sensation and Queensbarns and should run 1-2. Noble Rhythym and Ryanair good debuts and should earn. We have Blue Gangsta running- needed first run and that was too short. Expect improvement but not too hopeful here.
Race 3: Fynbos had not done too much before her debut, and ran on strongly over a trip too short. Expect a much improved run and although Duchess of State looks a smart sort I’m hoping that we can give her a go and be in the first two. Linda Loves Lace and Orferd’s Flash have fair form but the other two look to have more scope for improvement.
Race 4: Cane Lime N Soda and Over the Odds should fight this out.
Race 5: Weak maiden and upset possible. Danger Zone comes off a long break, and again badly drawn, but her run behind Principessa is the best form in the race. Could be a threat but likely to need the run.
Crimea and Duntoche look the two to fight it out.
Race 6: Secret Depths ran a cracker last week, and we left her in here as she came through that race well. Carries a big weight but gets 1.5kg claim and she is overdue a win.
Race 7: Tricky handicap. Casino Queen won on debut and I think that she can win again. Pretty Young Thing won well last time but a big weight and looks to need further. Captains Darling must be respected.
Race 8: Forty Days won a tight race last time and the switch to Kenilworth is in his favour given the draw. Should again run a decent race, but a very competitive race. Ground Control is a smart sort and is the one to beat. Marco Polo also a decent 3yo and must be respected. Mister Vargus is weighted to finish in front of us this time.

Only to be beaten by it's stable companion.
Like I've said many times before, the Cape trainers are poor judges of youngsters.
They just haven't a clue which one is better than the other even though they train them everyday.

Well someone knew which was better.
All the money for Lilac Sensation from 2-1 into 6-10 at one stage then this happens to it's stable companion.....
9 Queensbarns 3.30 3.50 4.00 4.50 5.50 5.00 5.25 5.50 5.00 4.85 4.25 4.00 3.75 3.30
Dodgy to say the least.

Cane Lime 'n Soda 14/10 for me. Sir Micheal looks a good prospect and he should go well here.

Cane Lime 'N Soda, first favourite to oblige - the fightback begins.
