Hartley SA selling up
5 years 9 months ago
I see on Sporting Post that this lot are chucking in the towel and selling up their entire stock.
It would be interesting to see why the decision was made - was it lack of progress in lifting the barriers that exist to exporting horses, or was it an economic decision?

Joint didnt look good at all , when freshing up in ring also tried to look after that leg so obvious problem and after not racing for 6 months and still problems then her racing future looks dire.
Some really nice horses and we got a few(7) for Alesh . We been underbidder on about 10 other . The one i had my heart on was lot 16 .... we went 230k and she sold for 240k . Amazing looking filly was lot 20, she looks like a Classic Jet Master type . We went 150k nd she sold for 200k.
Only 4 of the alesh purchases coming to our stable other 3 goes to bigger centre first

.....not too bad for buyers and seller alike....nice to see St John prize open that tight wallet....the last time he did.... he was rewarded with that gr8 race mare Emperors Dance.....however the real value for a potential cracker was for a few of the babies sold in the Cape.....
