are the Ruperts,Slacks, Plattners, Fereiras, Johnsons able to save SA racing on their own, or are their inputs really to protect racing for a few big elite players in the industry.

or

IS sa racing only going to be saved by broad investment by all people interested in the welfare of SA Racing an as such still be a large contributor in Job creation, Tax payments and Animal welfare.

and finally does P and their substructure have the correct staff to manage these corrective actions to get thigs heading on an upward trajectory.

Racing needed to look after the small man but never did. It’s paying for it now. Let’s see what happens but the game is bigger than the big band of brothers club. I feel costs have gotten out of hand for the smaller guy so let’s see if the kings can race against each other and keep it going now while the c&@ts watch on or simply move on.

The rumours around what is happening/ has happened float around and everyone in racing has heard one or more versions of what is going on. Strangely not a peep from the Racing Association and this is an utter disgrace and a slight on every director of that bunch of clowns. Let's list what I have been told :

An approach was made to the RA to bail out Kenilworth Racing who are in dire financial straights. This was initially approved by the handmaiden Wainstein. When going for ratification, the Purple man rightly objected and this was stillborn.
I am told the Slacks were prepared to give money and Savage represented their interests in the negotiations. I am told that the figure being offered totaled 3 figure in the millions ie. R100M plus. I am told that unsurprisingly conditions were set with the loan. Among the conditions were that the Phumelela board and executive were expected to resign. Surprisingly this offer was rejected.
I am told that Rian du Plessis, and thus by association his puppetmaster Jooste, is still heavily involved in the running of Phumelela and that all decisions need his approval
I am told that Mayfair Speculators are still licence holders at the NHA
I am told that Phumelela lawyers are Steinhoff lawyers
I have no doubt that Bernard Kantor is a Jooste puppet and his tenure as Phumelela Chairman is fraught with conflicts. He should do the honourable thing and resign. Bleating to all and sundry about how many millions Jooste has cost him just doesnt cut the mustard.

Make your own conclusions as to the state of play at the soapie that is Phumelela
