I am sure the average for winning favs has always run at 33.33% so no train smash?

Thanks Dave, I am not sure what the average should be. After the short price favs were dropping like flies yesterday just thought it would be interesting to calculate the weeks average..

If you take prices into consideration another ball game but generally speaking its one in every 3.
You would have to use a level stake on each to establish the profitability

Lets make it easy
Musselburgh last night where we had 7 races and no favs won.
At R100 per race you lost R700
There is also racing today at Musselburgh so we should?? Expect at least 2 and possibly more to bring the average up to date.
The first fav is around evens
The second race is around 6/1 the field so its different to call who will be the fav but if it does arrive it will cover the day.
Third race around 7/2
Forth around 5/2
Fifth around 5/2
Sixth race money on at 8/10
Seventh around 2/1

I would play the first and sixth race favs double but whatever you do, enjoy

Good Punting

Gmate just as a follow up

Musselburgh not very good for punters 2 favs won yesterday but you would have lost R100 so a loss of R800 over the 2 days

The other UK meetings also not positive for the punters except the jump meeting where 3 favs won.

Catterick one fav for R500 loss
Kempton one fav for R400 loss we had a joint fav but official fav beat.
Lingfield 2 favs for a loss of R200
Worcester 3 favs for R300 profit

So i guess all we can say is looking forward to the jump season, enjoy the stats or try and just pick the right favs.

Hi Dave,

Using the 30% win ratio. I took 2 x favs x 1 x Fillipo at scottsville yesterday and got s decent 30/1 return.

Winter chill x maidens prayer x fillipo

So it's about the right favorite...
