The National Horseracing Guidelines Authority has gone very quiet since their very vague press release.

is he back training?
can he nominate horses again?
does he still have horses at his establishment?
what was his actual offense? which guidlines he break?

Well I think his suspended until the investigation is complete so I’m guessing it can’t be very good whatever the situation was that they found. If it’s true that horses were not being fed correctly then that’s not on at all, expecting a horse to compete/train at a high level then eat his own shit basically or horses be neglected whatever the situation is it’s clearly not a good one! When money becomes the main focus and not the horses well being then it’s time to hang up the boots. His father was a good trainer so I heard, so he should have plenty experience under his wing before his father had passed. So I don’t think it’s that his naive, he knows what his doing, he was given his trainers license. Owners are trusting trainers with there purchases and paying money to be trained and fed and looked after it’s not a lot to ask for if you paying for it but the end of the day it’s the horses well being which is the main concern then the owners pocket! Also though if horses are under fed or neglected it’s basically like fraud paying for a service that is not being done. Example you take your car to get a new alternator and pay R13k for a quality alternator and then u found out you were given a R2k Chinese cheap shit you were conned. It’s unethical and not good business practice but the one who really suffers is the horse who runs on a empty tank and I’m saying this if that is the case so I’m just speculating.

Did you not take a horse there because he done deals?

I think there should be min rates for regions

6k Pe
7k KZN
10 k Jhb & CT

That will stop trainer’s having to do deals

I took a horse there because because I felt sorry for him and thought he would appreciate the support. Deal or no deal. Last thing I would of expected was whatever the NHRA found!

Louis, I'm sure you been here long enough to realize there is no money in KZN compared to Gauteng or WP.
